@MadelaineLucyH You reject her because she isnt that pretty. If you thought shw was you would probably date. But women have many threads about rejecting nice or even Good men, that they are already dating or married to. Allot of them seem to end up with attractive Bums that do them wrong.

Ok let’s explore the “She Rejected Me Because I’m Nice” myth. This is Janine, you work with her. She’s fine: a solid fine. Not unbelievably pretty, not hideous, just fine. Could easily work at any Walmart. Janine is nice to you. You’re nice to Janine, because you have no reason not to be. Why would you be horrible? You joke around, make small talk at the office printer. You don’t fancy her and it never crossed your mind. One day, Janine asks if you want to get coffee at lunch. You say yes, because she’s never shown any romantic interest in you and it’s not that kind of bond. At the cafe, Janine looks at you and strokes your hand and goes “I really see this going somewhere, like forever.” You aren’t feeling it. She gets upset and accuses you of only liking bad girls. Have you rejected Janine because she’s “too nice?”

I like to imagine a future where the CIA sits on the fact they invented Bitcoin until one BTC is worth $100M, at which point they sell Satoshi’s stash ($110T) to clear out the national debt and cement their place in history as the greatest deep state known to man

The numbers here are eye-catching. Jarrett’s salary is higher than leaders at other major presidential foundations, and overall compensation has grown significantly as the $850 million center nears completion. Some raise concerns about former officials holding top roles and the foundation’s use of public parkland for just $10 a year, while others note executive pay makes up less than 1% of total expenses and revenue has risen to support the project.

WHITE HOUSE PIPELINE: Obama Foundation paid CEO Valerie Jarrett $740,000 in 2024 while several former Obama White House officials collected six-figure salaries as foundation executives. Salaries and benefits climbed from $18.5 million in 2018 to $43.7 million in 2024, as staffing expanded to 337 employees and annual revenue reached nearly $210 million during the Obama Presidential Center build. Uncomfortable truth poor men won’t accept. Women are attracted to wealthy men not because of the money but because of the personal attributes they possess that allowed them to become wealthy and poor men generally don’t have those attributes.

It's always nice to have data to back up my lived experience. In a large dataset of ~14K online daters, hair dyed unnatural colors was strongly associated with mental illness, even when controlling for a slew of potential confounds.

A woman on TikTok reported her husband of 13 years cheated on her left her with 2 kids, and in his explanation it came out that he was sick of her endometriosis and her cancelling plans & lack of sex, cause she felt pain while doing it due to her endometriosis & needing help in the kitchen sometimes, specifically the appointments with gynaecologist were too expensive……Honestly my worst fear isn’t being single forever, my worst fear is marrying a man who would leave me for a 22 year old just because he can’t control his lust and physical needs!

Stop telling young people to “build wealth in their twenties” when they can barely build a sandwich. Cars cost fifty thousand. Degrees cost fifty eight thousand. Rent eats eighty percent of their check. What exactly are they supposed to invest after buying gas, food and a broom closet?

Name a famous woman (for her own abilities, not hereditary status) who had children. Hard, huh? Because throughout history women have been expected to limit their abilities and perform uneven childcare and household labour. You just can’t raise an infant 24/7 while developing complex neoprotein technology. Male achievement is scaffolded by female domestic labour.

Am I just a monster? It's been 4 years since I became a father and I'm beginning to fear for my soul. The truth is I just don't like being around kids for very long. Historically, this is not uncommon among fathers, but today it feels almost illegal. It's causing me a lot of confusion and anguish. The ideal amount of time I would like to spend playing with my kids is probably about 70-140 minutes a week—roughly ten minutes each day, maybe 2x/day, taking breaks from work. My feelings of love toward them are perfectly strong, but if I have to watch them or entertain them for more than about 10 minutes my blood starts to boil. I just want to be working, or accomplishing something. I try to be grateful, but it doesn't work. It's 9 AM this morning, Saturday, January 3. It's a sunny, warm day here in Austin, and my four-year-old son is begging me to play catch in the street. I was drinking coffee, still waking up, so I didn’t really feel like it, but at this age his desire to play is insatiable. He begged and begged, so I conceded, and with a smile. I have no problem being a kind and loving father, the problem is only that I do not enjoy it. It's not that I'm trying to maximize my personal pleasure; it just seems wrong that I experience so little delight when my dad friends all claim to experience so much. It was beautiful. We live on a picturesque, tree-lined block. I am even relatively relaxed from the holiday rest. Playing catch with your son is supposed to be an iconic, peak experience. Yet for every single minute, on the inside, I just don't want to be there. I want to be drinking my coffee in peace. Then I feel guilty and absurdly ungrateful, and ashamed, when we're done. I know that when he is a teenager, I'll long to have these days back. I have all of this perspective rationally, and I've been very patient and steadfast trying to digest it, but nothing fixes me emotionally. Am I a terrible person? Or is my feeling within a certain range of historically normal and it's modern parenting norms that are off? Whether it's my fault or not, I don't even care, I just want to figure this out. Something is wrong and I no longer have the excuse of being new to this.
