@guinnessstache @Polkadot What price would you unstake and sell?

I'm not sure who has to hear this but here it goes. @Polkadot only has a 10% inflation rate. People see 17% in staking and assume that $dot has a 17% inflation rate, that is not true. The reason you get 17% is because the other 7% on top of 10% inflation is earned by taking other polkadot holders $dot who are too lazy to stake. So if 100 people hold dot and only 50 of those people are staking (I'm going to use a dumb easy to understand example here and not real numbers), then instead of a 1:1 allocation of the rewards it becomes 2:1 since they are not staking. So let's say 100 DOT is created daily for those 100 people but only 50 of those people are staking, then those staking get 2 dot each Instead of 1 since half the people aren't staking to get their reward. Dot holders not staking are literally paying you to stake your $dot. Let me ask this while I'm at it: let's say that the inflation rate remained at 10% for @Polkadot but over the next few years there's enough deflationary mechanisms put in place where it's burning 6%. Would 10% inflation still look that bad? I don't think so personally.

Yesterday on @TheKusamarian show @alice_und_bob mentioned that since inception DOT treasury spent roughly $50m Less than $1m was spent on $DED which is now worth almost $1b 🤯 5% was airdropped to all DOT holders, so roughly $50m With a single $1m investment DOT treasury produced value for DOT holders equivalent to its entire spent since inception ($50m) 🤯 (If you have $DED you can sell them on HydraDX, there is currently ample liquidity)

The statement has always been that 5% is the initial airdrop, no one has ever said that this is the last one, I'm not sure why all the anger 🫣
