If the economic model of a #crypto project isn’t based on sound money and fixed supply, then you don’t really have a clear way to measure success. A fixed supply creates a strong base for growth and a clear path to measure real adoption.
At some point, the project must generate enough usage and revenue to sustain itself. If it doesn’t, you know the initial strategy failed. But with endless printing, they can always say they’re “still building.” As long as new tokens are printed and people keep buying them, the story can continue for years: building, promising, but never truly delivering.

Same, but still holding strong. A 600k EGLD bag has turned into 40k, the sad thing is I have more than twice the amount of EGLD. My thousands of dollars worth of xMEX is now under 1k 🙁

The funny thing is, I’m pretty sure I’ll never recover from $MEX, but I still believe $EGLD has a strong future.

One thing I learned from my degree = ANY amount is a LOT to someone.
If you lost money, you lost money. You worked for it, you put it somewhere hoping it would grow and change your life. Nobody lost "more" than anyone else, loss is loss.
That said, nobody is down more than me...

👁️ so far the volume is still decreasing into this lower move; we are currently retesting for the 2nd time a breakout that hit on feb 07. (biased take) I'm seeing a gradual sell-off/retest/pull-back here. nothing alarming yet; so far this move beginning Jan 31st has had drawdowns of up to -20%, so this is well within reason. If you've followed the qt below, you'd see I set -20% as expected drawdown range :)

If you've been watching EGLD, here's a small update to keep you thinking (and making your own assessments). A clear head and shoulders top has now formed over the last 6 days. If this bearish pattern acts "as it should", EGLD should drop another -10% (minimum) from here. Inversely, if $EGLD breaks bullish from here and heads towards HH4 (see quoted tweet), this would invalidate this bearish pattern. Go ahead and label any bullish or bearish pattern, but if at their inflection point the pattern is invalidate - for the opposition - that's the clearest signal of strength you could ask for. 🧠

That’s the most likely outcome. No altseason. Why because using tokens to raise money for projects gives little to no protection for investors. All the money goes to the team who spend funding themselves at work for years with little to no accountability for measurable success. Most crypto projects will burn through initial funding print more tokens to raise more funding yet still fail.
Alts you have to assume 99.9% will fail.
