🚨 GAME 7. THE TWO BEST WORDS IN SPORTS.🚨 SAN @ OKC GAME 7 BREAKDOWN 🏀 Winner advances. Loser’s season is over. ⸻ SGA THE MVP MUST DELIVER The MVP has to step up. With JDub now officially OUT, the pressure on Shai only increases. OKC loses their second-best shot creator after getting him for only 10 min last game, which means even more on-ball reps and decision-making will run through him in Game 7. Shai has struggled by his standards throughout this series. The looks are there, the shots are there, they’re just not falling. He’s currently sitting at a -28.8 net rating this postseason, which is crazy to say about a player of his caliber. After Game 6 he said: “Yeah, I’m not too sure to be honest. A lot of the shots that I’m shooting, I’ve shot plenty of times before and they feel good. They’re just not going in. But yeah, it’s too late to abandon my work and abandon my game and who I am. This late in the season, I got to trust it and live or die by it.” The Spurs have changed their gameplan. They aren’t sending many doubles and are willing to let Shai attack one-on-one. When asked if fatigue was becoming a factor, he answered: “Oh, I’m good. I’m ready to go. Biggest game of my career. Yeah, makes it the biggest game. It’s the next game, and if I lose, my season’s over.” He knows exactly what’s on the line Saturday night. Game 7. MVP. Home court. I expect him to come out aggressive from the opening tip. Already played Over 29.5 Points and I don’t mind 30.5 if that’s all you’ve got. ⸻ ALEX CARUSO IS MADE FOR THESE MOMENTS Alex Caruso has arguably been OKC’s most impactful player this entire series. With Caruso ON the floor: OKC +38 With Caruso OFF the floor: OKC -56 That’s a ridiculous swing. Meanwhile, Lu Dort is sitting around a -15 on/off in the series and honestly I don’t understand why OKC keeps starting him over Caruso or Wallace. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if they make some adjustments for Game 7. Caruso is exactly the type of player you want on the floor in these moments. Veteran. Champion. Doesn’t get rattled. After the Game 6 loss he said: “They came out hungry, played hard. They made some shots early, which really got them going, and then from there we were kind of playing behind the eight ball. So it’s just about moving on to the next game. I can talk about all the things that we didn’t do correctly and that they did well, but at the end of the day it’s going to be a 48-minute game on Saturday that we got to be ready to play.” Caruso has always talked about saving his best basketball for the playoffs. “Do you want me now or in the playoffs?” Already played Over 15.5 PRA and expect him to see plenty of minutes here. ⸻ JDUB IS OFFICIALLY OUT Jalen Williams is officially OUT for Game 7 after trying to return in Game 6 and clearly not being 100%. He finished that game looking completely out of rhythm, and now OKC loses a major piece of their secondary creation and perimeter defense. This changes things for the Thunder rotation. There’s now significantly more pressure on SGA to handle creation duties for long stretches, with less relief coming from the wing. It also opens up more minutes and responsibility for guys like Caruso, while Cason Wallace and Jared McCain should see increased minutes as well, and the bench units, but overall OKC becomes much more top-heavy heading into Game 7. ⸻ WEMBY THE ULTIMATE X-FACTOR After a rough Game 5, Wemby answered in a big way. 28 points. 10 rebounds. He had 22 points in the first half alone and completely set the tone. Mitch Johnson said this about his performance: “I would say his overall activity. And that probably from my perspective was just from his will and intent on leaving his imprints on the game.” We’ve already seen Wemby dominate in OKC this series. He dropped 41 points in Game 1. If he’s aggressive, I still don’t think OKC has anyone capable of stopping him one-on-one. His Over 26.5 Points is definitely interesting. ⸻ ISAIAH HARTENSTEIN — WEMBY IS FORCING ADJUSTMENTS Hartenstein was the primary Wemby matchup in Game 5, but Game 6 showed a clear shift. Wemby went 5/6 when guarded by Hartenstein, including 3/4 from three, while also drawing two early fouls in the first quarter. That immediately put pressure on OKC’s frontcourt rotations. If OKC sticks with Hartenstein as the main matchup, Wemby’s perimeter gravity is going to keep pulling him away from the rim and limiting his ability to impact the glass. At home, foul trouble likely isn’t as big of a factor, which actually strengthens Hartenstein’s minutes and involvement. That leans me toward his overs, especially 11.5 PA in a game where OKC may need more production from their bigs with JDub and Ajay out. He’s also cleared this line in 3 straight, averaging 14.7 PA. ⸻ DEVIN VASSELL DOING THE DIRTY WORK Finished with only 12 points (4/7), but his effort was massive. After the game he said: “Just playing as hard as I can. There’s nights you can’t make a shot. You can’t control that but you can always control your energy, your effort. I try to make sure my energy and effort are in the right place. That’s infectious.” His minutes feel very secure. The question is whether he can get back over 20.5 PRA after missing in back-to-back games. ⸻ STEPHON CASTLE TASKED WITH STOPPING THE MVP Castle has been incredible defensively. SGA shot just 1/5 against him in Game 6. Talking about Game 7, Castle said: “Somebody’s season is going to end that night. We don’t want it to be ours… We’re going to go out there swinging.” The concern for me is foul trouble. Being the primary defender on SGA on the road is one of the toughest jobs in basketball. ⸻ DYLAN HARPER IS FINDING HIS RHYTHM AGAIN Finally looked like himself again. After the Game 5 loss, Pop texted him: “You gotta find a way how to get the job done.” Harper responded with 18 points in 22 minutes and looked much more confident attacking. Castle talked about his teammate after the game: “I wouldn’t say he didn’t look normal last game. I think he just looked hesitant in my opinion. So when he plays like confidence — I don’t think there’s anybody his age that’s that good.” Harper himself said: “People pulled me aside, just kept instilling confidence in me, kind of telling me that, you know, just go out there and be me, be in attack mode at all times. I think I went out there and did that today.” With Fox still not 100%, they’ll need another aggressive performance from Harper. ⸻ MAIN TAKEAWAYS 📌 • Expect OKC to be much more aggressive at home after scoring just 13 points in the 3rd quarter of G6. • SGA has struggled by his standards, but the Spurs are letting him play more one-on-one and he knows this is the biggest game of his career. • Alex Caruso continues to be one of OKC’s most impactful players and should see heavy minutes in a win-or-go-home game. • JDub is officially OUT for Game 7, removing OKC's secondary creator and opening up more min and responsibility for role players like Wallace/McCain • Wemby showed in Game 6 that OKC still has no real answer when he’s aggressive offensively. • Stephon Castle’s defense on SGA has been elite, but foul trouble on the road is a concern. • Dylan Harper finally looked healthy and confident again, giving San Antonio another much-needed creator alongside Fox and Castle. Super hype for this G7, think it’s gonna be a special night, if these breakdowns help, leave a ❤️ and if you want more of them a follow would mean everything for me! Thank you all for the continuous support, they keep me doing those breakdowns every game! Let’s cash!💰

@THEZONEEEEEE @PremLeaguePanel The next step for Arteta will be to polish Skelly in order to maximize his press-resistance to aid our build up... We need that LW upgrade so bad. It's a shame Leao is not a serious player. I wonder what the vision is, with Morgan Rodgers

CL final summary: •Arsenal’s defensive structure was immense at 1-0, think it was the correct decision to just try to keep a clean sheet, Kvara winning a duel vs Mosquera was always a concern without Timber •Step-down from Havertz at 9 to Gyökeres was clear - the ball did not stick after this move. •Barcola had 2 chances in transition but didn’t take them with poor touches before the shot. •João Neves was the stand-out midfielder in extra-time - he had the stamina to not let fatigue affect the quality of his actions. •Martinelli had a transition where he was the passer for a Madueke run but fluffed it. Should’ve been Saka in that position from a balance perspective. Martinelli + Madueke = two runners. Martinelli-Havertz-Saka is their best balanced attack but we never saw it. Arsenal need a new superstar LW runner to start to see this balance more often.

My NBA Play Of The Day☢️ James Harden 5.5 Asts “O” (-140)FD 🏀#1 #LetEmKnow Vs #Knicks 125❤️MY FAV NBA PAIRING! I don’t see CLE falling 3-0 here back at home. Harden will be impactful, and he’s had 9 & 12 potentials in Games 1-2 that only resulted in (3, 2) assists, expecting the shooters for CLE (Merrill, Strus, Wade) to be more efficient which will better Harden’s numbers significantly. Mitchell also isn’t fully healthy, to me this just screams a Harden spot who’s continued to play better in CLE than on the road this year/playoffs. Harden DD (+550) on FD is a great number as well for those looking for a bigger odds type spot.

Jalen Brunson is causing massive issues for Cleveland because the teammates around him are so much better. Toronto and Detroit didn't have the supporting cast to surround their star the way New York does. And with the Knicks' depth making Cleveland pay, Brunson is in control.

Dribbling with a purpose in mind. The first possible shot angle is very hard to score from so he decided to dribble again and create the 2nd possible shot.

Creating an end-to-end game like Brentford have done vs Man Utd is no good. And often has been no good vs Man Utd in the last few years. Bruno Fernandes will punish you.
