@vicggallus @DimosthenisVas Dating doesn’t support that. This vase is from 600bc, siege of Troy was probably around 1100bc. Homer was probably writing in the 8th century. Leads me to suppose the horse depicted here was inspired by Homer rather than a memory of the event.

Every cinematic Trojan Horse is a mirror of the age that created it and a reminder that myth never truly dies; it simply changes its disguise.
