@King_Nkuli Lol for critics of the freedom charter, they are too idealistic and hence their stagnation,no program of action,no relevance on the ground, and average black person does not resonate with their idealogy, thus indirectly suggesting how foresighted "charterists" have been 🤣

My father in law, a PAC chap, hates my ideological beliefs. Not a week goes by without being called a Charterist (derog), and fair, man.

What OR Tambo achieved during the years spent in exile is remarkable and revolutionary. He, together with his peers, is my North Star. We will never get another quite like him.

It’s entirely impossible to imagine our democracy without reflecting on the selflessness of our brothers and sisters in the continent. Kenneth Kaunda, Mugabe, Nkrumah, Nujoma, Machel, and others are our people. We can never capitulate to xenophobia - it’s disgusting and morbid.

“The whole of Africa lost something when he died. #OliverTambo was in a class of his own. We have lost a truly great man." - President Kenneth Kaunda Today marks the 33rd anniversary of the passing of #ORTambo, who, after dedicating his life to the struggle for South Africa's liberation, passed away one year before the first democratic elections. It is true, and at the same time, Nelson Mandela and his generation were responsible for convincing the ANC to shift from non-violence to armed struggle. It through that their advocacy and policy shift legitimised Winnie’s violence and militancy,we do not know what Mandela might have done had he not been arrested.
Malume Malusi@UncleCul

Winnie was definitely more militant than Madiba

Oliver Reginald Tambo, the longest-serving President of the African National Congress (1967 to 1991), passed away on this day in 1993. His death occurred 14 days after the assassination of Chris Hani and roughly a year before South Africa's first democratic elections in 1994.
