Russia is preparing for a clash with NATO to seize territories, Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) claims. After the war with Ukraine ends, Moscow will need only one year to accumulate enough forces for a regional conflict with NATO and is already conducting concrete preparations. The Netherlands' MIVD believes Russia aims to split NATO and achieve limited territorial gains, and is ready to use nuclear blackmail for that. The ongoing war in Ukraine is seen as part of Russia's long-term effort to fundamentally change Europe's security architecture.
