@tensecorrection @bbui We have layout reuse as well, but kicad 9 did not use to support http libraries for layout blocks. This is changing in Kicad 10 so we might open source the layouts too

KiCAD has pretty much eaten EDA. If LLMs start eating EDA, it'll probably be feet-first with Eeschema. Modern schematic capture has a very weak link to design intent and *could* be done with an HDL. - atopile / maybe... - SKiDL / not serious - circuit-synth / not remotely serious

We worked with @AnthropicAI to teach Claude how to be a better electrical engineer. Claude 4.5 is the first frontier model trained with our data, and we saw a major improvement in both accuracy and speed for electrical reference design generation. Congrats to @diodeinc on raising a $11.4 M Series A! They build AI that automates circuit design with customers incl. a F100 company and physical intelligence. 1/9 story on how @lennykhazan and @davideasnaghi applied to YC with just an idea still in their jobs, but that first idea nobody wanted. Though, it was a good start for them to iterate during the S24 batch.

We are experimenting with waterproofing PCBs. And this project is one of my favorites. 🌱You can use a PCB-based soil moisture sensor to keep plants happy and healthy. This I2C sensor is packed with features—capacitance, light, and temperature readings—all on a single board
