Like many Scottish women before me, I hung out a washing on the drying poles at Glasgow Green. It felt fitting at a site so steeped in women's history to fill my 'line of resistance' with this message: "Vulnerable females require intimate care to be same-sex."

@roseveniceallan He really hates the words "trans widows". (And not because he thinks it's insulting to widows like he says. He's no empathy for women). I think it must be because he feels the term denies him control. Good.

@STILLTish Awful. It's the tactic transactivists use on here, too. He knows his obtuseness blocks any progress in the argument & that his doublespeak leaves women and same-sex attracted people, if they engage, having to over-explain ordinary, simple, basic facts. Amnesty really has fallen.

JK Rowling presents a direct threat to freedom of speech. When a human rights body is forced to remove report on transphobia following threats from wealthy individuals, it sends a chilling message to anyone speaking out for trans rights. This is silencing and coercion.
