What if the Federal Government was just the Military at 20% of it's current scope and the Supreme Court to settle State Disputes? $200B a year through Tariffs that fund the Military and Court. No Federal Taxing Power. No Federal Laws of any kind. States handle everything else. All Federal Lands turned over to the state within. All foreign bases closed, all troops come home, defend the border. All illegal aliens returned to their home countries and get in line to enter. Expand Legal Immigration but on a Merit Basis, No Free Lunch. 50 States, Pick one that suits you politically. No USD, Bitcoin 50 Sovereign States - Dissolve DC

The era of corporate investment in the U.S. Housing Market is ending - potentially forever. And not just because of the investor bans. But because of the relationship of interest rates to Cap Rates, otherwise known as investor returns. From 2008-2022, investors piled into the housing market because the Fed artificially suppressed long-term interest rates through QE/ZIRP below cap rates. For the first time in U.S. history, there was a positive "spread" to buying and operating residential rentals compared to buying government bonds. This naturally caused a flood of capital into the housing market for the purposes of buying houses from institutional investors. And Wall Street jumped in, buying up 100,000s of houses. But now the incentives have changed. As of 2022-23, the Fed stopped printing money, interest rates are no longer zero, and as a result, Cap Rates and bond yields are roughly the same. Meaning: it's just as profitable for you to sit on your computer and buy a U.S. government bond from Treasury Direct as it is to buy a house and rent it out. As a result, corporate investor demand has plummeted, even before the proposed bans. And it might not ever come back.

Think about this: OpenAI wants to take a cut of customers AI-aided discoveries but also wants to offer private equity firms 17.5%+ “guaranteed” returns and offer early access to said tools No wonder people don’t believe in capitalism anymore. The system is totally broken

@_Adrian Sure, but it doesn't contradict the fact that it's a signal to increase yield for now. As the product matures and the market becomes more confident, yield can decrease. Right now, the market demands higher yield IMO

So you mean to tell me, an airplane can go right through the World Trade Center that had steel structure beams of 4 inch plate every 40” using 12 different grades of steel with a yield strength of 100,000 psi but if the same plane were to run into a firetruck on a runway the plane is completely destroyed. The US Treasury market has been a mirage of strength backed by fake money and future promises. Bitcoiners have been pointing this out for well over a decade. It looks like the mirage could be dissolving. A globally distributed, finite and digital neutral asset will be the preferred reserve asset of the Digital Age. More will recognize this as we approach 2030.

bitcoin is at $70k and miners are making less money than they did when btc was at $16k. puell at 0.67.. literally the 1st percentile of a 2-year rolling window. hashrate keeps climbing while revenue collapses. someone's going to turn off the machines. that's when things get interesting.

Rental market deflation is spreading across the U.S. Austin is down 22% from peak. Fort Myers is down 19% Denver is -13% Atlanta is -11% Nashville is -11% Dallas is -11% Landlords are doing big rent cuts across the Sun Belt and West. In some cases, they're even offering 3 months free rent (20-25% net rent cuts). This is great news for renters and homebuyers.
