@AirportThings @c0ck_l3snar Chicken isn’t quite as strategically important in America and so generally handled by colonels.

@c0ck_l3snar Do you think they eat "General Lee's Hamburgers" at restaurants called "AMERICAN PAN" or "#1 AMERICA RESTAURANT" in China?

"Claudia" and not Claude is a huge tell about the specific kind of failure mode happening here

@PizzaPokerPsych @ZyMazza It’s pretty common term used when discussing authors. Eg. Stan Lee playing himself in Marvel movies, or Tom Bombadil as Tolkien’s self insert in the Lord of the Rings books

@PizzaPokerPsych @ZyMazza So that he doesn’t assign his own personality to the subject. I’m not saying it’s a smart thing to do, I’m just saying it’s something he always does and has admitted to doing.

@Rothmus @MelonieMac I’d say it definitely limits what could be considered immoral, but your future self is sort of a different person, so there may be immoral things you could do to them, although the list would be short.

Imagine you’re stranded completely alone on a deserted island. In total isolation, with no one else affected, can any of your actions still be considered moral or immoral?

The chance is either: Blue: More than 50% votes for everyone to live. or Red: Exactly 100% votes for everyone to live. If you vote red then you're objectively a moron and a danger to society.
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@iriscal @eurocommissar @prerat If blue survives, the next “button push” is whether or not people tell you the truth about which button you pushed. The no loss condition in that case is telling them you pressed blue

@DivisiveTurtle @eurocommissar @prerat Only if most people pushed blue, and I'm not convinced by these twitter polls. I suppose that's the paradox itself, though. We have no way of knowing who will actually push blue, because the bias of these polls selects for people who want to be seen as good people.

@doodoodadi2 @bitcloud You mean Adam touching God’s hand? A bit of a stretch but whatever. And yes an image makes an image less of itself, if its themes are presented poorly… Like what are you even talking about?

@DivisiveTurtle @bitcloud The message is the mass rejection of Ai and shitty hands which is very clearly alluding to the image of David touching God's hand. Even if they used emoji's that would still be art representing a feeling towards a thing. Youre saying an image somehow makes an image less of itself

@doodoodadi2 @bitcloud The minor vulgarity isn’t a negative because it’s vulgar , it’s that it’s too soft to say literally anything of substance making the art tonally flat. It might as well be a laughing emoji

Lots of internet blowhards and their BASIC PHYSICS have decided that the Canadian government just plain forgot how far their country is from the equator. I am not Canadian and have no real dog in Canadian political fights. But I do object to egregious untruths about a subject I am somewhat knowledgeable in. So luckily for these fellows I am able to teach them some slightly more advanced physics and hopefully stop them saying such silly things: planetocracy.org/p/the-equatori…

It takes approximately 4 to 6 hrs of trade with the U.S. to equal the total value of Canada's merchandise exports to Luxembourg in a year.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney
