8 lines every flag-shagging plastic “patriot” has in their playbook 1.“I want my country back” - From what? You voted for the party that ran it for 14 years. 2.“Our grandads didn’t fight for this” - Your grandads would be ashamed that you can’t find Normandy on a map. They fought with Poles, Sikhs, Gurkhas, and West Indians beside them. They’d have more in common with the immigrants you hate than plastic patriots sharing memes about them. 3.“This isn’t the Britain I grew up in” - Correct. It has lower crime, longer life expectancy, and better healthcare than the 1970s you’re romanticising. You just don’t remember the power cuts and three-day weeks. 4.“Britain is broken” - The most unpatriotic sentence in the English language, repeated daily by people say they love their country. 5. “We’re full” - The Netherlands has twice the population density and somehow manages. The UK is not full. It’s just had 14 years of no housebuilding and you need someone darker than you to blame for it. 6.“We look after our own first” - You vote for parties that cut disability benefits, froze nurses’ pay, gave tax breaks to the rich and closed Sure Start centres. You don’t look after anyone. 7.“Stop the boats” - The Tories spent £700 million on Rwanda to deport four people. Zero boats were stopped. You cheered anyway. 8.“Starmer is a traitor” - The man prosecuted terrorists, paedophile rings, and war criminals as DPP. You import American culture war propaganda from people who openly despise our allies, trash your own country 24/7, and follow convicted fraudsters who lied about where they were born. The only ones treacherously trashing Britain’s reputation daily are you.

The White House wonders why Europe won’t rally behind America in Iran. Maybe start by asking why your Vice President is flying to Budapest to have a warm chat with Viktor Orban, the man running a Russian influence operation from inside NATO’s borders. While Europe has been bleeding money and weapons to stop Russian aggression, Hungary has been blocking NATO decisions, sheltering Russian intelligence, and doing Moscow’s diplomatic dirty work at every turn. Orban isn’t America’s friend. He’s Putin’s man in Brussels. And JD Vance calls him a “good friend.” Europe is supposed to line up behind a war that had no plan for day two, no strategy for the Strait of Hormuz, and no consultation with allies beyond Israel. A war that has already sent oil past $100 a barrel and left one of America’s most powerful warships reportedly retreating toward the Indian Ocean. You don’t get to lecture Europe about loyalty while embracing the man working to destroy the alliance from within, and then demand backup for a war you started without asking anyone. Reform Party UK Exposed 🇬🇧
The botched past of Reform UK’s Leader in Wales: Dan Thomas Even just having him in the #Senedd would be a liability. Dan Thomas, who served as the Leader of Barnet Council from 2017 to 2022, is a figure associated with a particularly controversial and impactful policy. The most notable and interesting thing about his tenure is his role as the chief architect and advocate for Barnet’s “Commissioning Council” model, often dubbed “The Barnet EasyCouncil” or “The John Lewis Model.” Under Thomas’s leadership, this reached its apex with the £1 billion+ “Strategic Partnership” with Capita, outsourcing the bulk of the council’s functions (from finance and IT to environmental services and planning) in two massive contracts. The Controversy and “Capita Crisis” This is where Dan Thomas’s legacy becomes particularly contentious. The outsourcing model, especially the Capita contracts, became synonymous with high-profile failures: · Massive Data Breaches: Multiple serious data breaches occurred, including one exposing the personal details of thousands of residents.
· Critical Service Failures: There were systemic problems in planning, licensing, and housing benefits. Barnet’s planning department became one of the slowest in the country.
· Financial Scrutiny: The contracts were criticised for lack of transparency and control. A £2 million fraud by a Capita employee in the pensions service was a major scandal.
· Public Backlash: The model was widely seen as putting ideology and cost-cutting ahead of service quality and resident welfare. The slogan “Barnet – the Council that Works for You” was often mocked by residents experiencing the opposite.
Dan Thomas was seen as a staunch, ideological defender of the model, often dismissing criticism and attributing problems to teething issues rather than fundamental flaws. This made him a lightning rod for opposition.
Following the 2022 election loss, he stepped down as Conservative group leader and largely retreated from frontline politics.
His tenure is now studied as a cautionary tale in local government about the risks of extreme outsourcing, the loss of institutional capacity, and the difficulty of managing large, complex contracts for public services. In summary, the most interesting aspect of Dan Thomas is that he became the personification of Britain’s most ambitious and, ultimately, most troubled experiment in wholesale council outsourcing. His leadership offers a stark case study in the collision of free-market ideology with the practical, day-to-day realities of delivering public services.

Absolutely disgraceful racism from @jkyleofficial on @TalkTV. As the camera zooms in on me and @DrHWazir on the picket line, he sneers that “a lot of them have come into this country to be doctors.” He based this solely on the colour of my skin. I was born in the UK. I studied and trained in the UK and I currently work as a doctor in the NHS. My grandfather fought for this country in WW2. This is racist, demeaning, and utterly unacceptable.

Let’s all share this video of @Nigel_Farage laying out his argument for scrapping the two-child benefit cap. He and @RobertJenrick now think every word he says in this video is wrong. So next time Nigel Farage does a press conference, expect him to u-turn on it in a couple of months.

Please do not embarrass Farage by reposting his 'Happy Birthday Mr President' tweet. Be careful not to draw attention to the fact that he's holding a bottle of Trump wine, it would make him look like a fawning sycophant, and we wouldn't want to do that ... would we?

Local Elections are around the corner, and it’s worth remembering the record of my former MP, Jonathan Gullis. His support for Liz Truss contributed to economic damage that affected people I care about, and he now aligns himself with Trump while Trump attacks Britain. He’s moved to Reform UK and is asking voters to trust him as a Borough Councillor. Everyone can make their own judgement - but accountability matters. Do you care? I’ve updated the image SOT Live originally used with a more telling one. Please don't vote for Reform UK vote for who stands the best chance of keeping them out. #ReformUK #LocalElections #Gullis

And THIS man is your patriot? Trump insults our country Our capital Our troops Tariffs us Makes all of our lives more expensive …and this little weasel suggests we “turn the other cheek”?
Sky News@SkyNews

In an interview with Sky's @AliFortescue, Nigel Farage reiterated his longstanding support for America's war with Iran, criticised the current state of the Royal Navy, and suggested Britain should “turn the other cheek” in response to an insult from Donald Trump.

Left: Nigel Farage's Easter message, "It is our Judeo-Christian culture that underpins everything.. Founding principles of Reform UK: family, community, country" Right: NIgel Farage says Reform UK will reinstate "the two child benefit cap" Nothing says Judeo-Christian values that keeping 1.7 children poorer, many in relative poverty- Just like Moses and Jesus would have wanted 🤷‍♂️ Farage then has a breakdown when a journalist points out his numbers don't add up
