My response: (Parents feel free to steal it for your own athlete) 👇 “You can go to wrestling or you can sit at home and do math for two hours. You’re going to excel at something- either wrestling or math. No YouTube, no video games, no TV…” He chose wrestling practice lol. (I actually thought he might call my bluff because the kid does good at school.) My feeling is, you don’t let your kids decide when their bedtime is, whether they go to school/church/doctor etc. or not, they don’t get to choose their own diet. So if you determine something is good for them, I think you should make them do it whether they want to or not. What are your thoughts?
