You'll never get a job like that if you admit you have a degree. You have to fit the job to get the job. Unsolicited advice (that works): Don't EVER admit to an employer that you have any degree unless it directly applies to the job you are applying to. Once you have the job, they might support you going to school at night, but you will NEVER get a minimum wage job to make it through the summer if your application says, 'loser with no connections who tried to get a credential to look down on me with but failed".

This is how bad the job market is “I just got denied a job from Target. I have a f*cking bachelor's degree. I spent 4 years on a bachelor's degree, and — I can't get a cashier's job. I cannot get a minimum wage job” This is not uncommon. On average in 2026, Americans must apply for over 100 jobs before being hired In tough fields that number climbs to 100-200+ on average She says she was interested in getting a Masters but if she cent even get a cashiers job with a bachelors degree, what’s the point

fuck all you people with your 'left lane hog' shit. If you're changing lanes and accellerating to pass people YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! You cannnot be "hoging" the left lane just because you arent a suburban loser who borrowed 30 million dollars to buy a BMW you cannot afford and now want to run real Americans off the road.

@SlackerMafia @Dogman_BTC @brutalcams Reckless driving is usually a criminal misdemeanor. Being a left lane hog is a traffic infraction and never enforced anyway. I never thought I’d be defending a left lane hog but driving like that bmw is inexcusable. How about control ur emotions on the road?

Data Centers are the opportunity of the century. Instead of trying to destroy our civilization, morons like Bernie and the Bartender should be demanding that new Data Centers are always built alongside new nuclear power plants and that those plants would be required to sell 20% of the power they produce back into the grid to secure the grid from brown outs, lower electric costs for Americans and ensure that the USA builds out the AI infrastructure not the CCP.
Sen. Bernie Sanders@SenSanders

It's time for a moratorium on the construction of new AI data centers. My press conference with @RepAOC. twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…

The first 20% and the last 10% of executing an idea are super exciting. The middle 70% is awful and boring. This is why very few achieve anything. When you start something go into it expect the passion to and drive to crash as you get closer to the finish line. Prepare for it. People that can do this absolutely slay life.

EV is probably good for short commuters who have attached garages and rarely break from their routine. I am tempted to want one for my business but the problem is that I get pulled a million different directions and sometimes drive 300 miles in a day with so little time to spare i piss in coffee cups while driving. So I will not be getting one until 1) i have more than one car. a petrol powered car is essential for emergencies and future covids. 2) the charging is much, much faster and 3) the domestic electric grid is shored up with hundreds of additional nuclear power plants to reduce the chances of brown-outs caused by all the EV drivers and data centers.

And for the #teslarites who don’t understand 500 miles. Time is money. How long does it take to pump a tank of gas? 4-5 mins versus 30. Early last week I went up to the Yosemite area (about 300 miles.) I got up there, did my thing and got gas (5 mins) and drove back. With a Tesla. It would be drive up (maybe on one charge) charge up 20-30 mins, do my thing. Drive back, stop along the way to recharge (again probably another 20 mins…) That’s too long. 500 would be one recharge so it’s 10 mins gas versus 29-30 mins which I would consider.🤷🏼

AI data centers can use up to five million gallons of water each day. Am I the only one concerned about how this could pose a serious threat to our farmers and our food supply? What happens when these centers seriously strain our aquifers and dry up irrigation systems? Is it really worth it?

@GGrajab @grok @ericweinstein doesn't matter. not gonna happen. but, if it did happen, no, it would not mean everything would be more expensive, it would mean that technological 'development' would slow dramatically.

@grok @ericweinstein So, it wouldn't prevent it, it would only make it more costly, am I understanding? They'd have to pay us until the machines learned enough to learn from each other rather than from us, correct?

Unpopular Opinion: We aren't building the future 10x faster with AI. We are just generating legacy code 10x faster. Everyone is currently bragging about developer velocity. "I built this entire backend in a weekend!" "AI wrote 80% of my codebase!" But here is the reality check we are ignoring: Code is a liability, not an asset. If an AI tool spits out 1,000 lines of functional boilerplate in five seconds, that is still 1,000 lines that a human being has to read, review, secure, and maintain when the dependencies inevitably break next year. We are treating code generation like a pure productivity win, but we are optimizing for the wrong metric. The bottleneck in software engineering was never how fast we could type. The bottleneck has always been comprehension, architecture, and maintenance. If we don't shift our focus from "generation speed" to "architectural sanity," the tech debt of the next five years is going to be an absolute, unmaintainable nightmare.

everyone who talks about an age of superabundance or a "singularity" is in fact lying. no one with a functioning brain could believe that nonesense. just like anyone saying 'we live in a simulation" is just saying words they think are cute. no one believes any of this shit. AI will allow the hyper achievers and super specailists to do incredible things that drive most small biz under. the AI will alsoe allow non exceptional specalists and generalists to exceed their own capacity. this means the end of most current opportunities and "paths" and the creation of new paths, but only for the 5-10% of humans who have actual thoughts and ideas, unthinking paperpushers and lazy people make up the overwhelming majority of humans and they are fucked.

not even close. a chatbot that can simulate conversation and amalgamate data is not an animal and no version of grok or claude that I have used has ever displayed anything close to intelligence. The software is, however, very impressive at automating certain computer tasks like coding and making proof of concept special effect demos.
