Your million-dollar idea deserves a rockstar domain! Don't click 'buy' until you've read these 12 crucial points… 1. Availability (seems obvious but worth double-checking) 2. Any potential trademark issues. Search the USPTO site. 3. Similar existing domains that might confuse people. Don't mess up from day one by confusing your audience. 4. Is it easy to spell and say out loud? That's the radio test. 5. Prone to typos? (Think "bookkeeper" vs "bookeeper") 6. Which extension suits you best (.com, .ai, .io etc.) Always go for a .com. If it's unavailable and other extensions match, it's ok to go for them. E.g. .io is ok for tech companies, .ai for companies focused on AI. 7. Length matters: Shorter domains are generally easier to remember and type. 8. Avoid numbers and hyphens: These can make domains harder to remember and communicate verbally. 9. EMD potential: Consider if an Exact Match Domain (keyword-based) could boost your SEO. Use keyword planner tools to check search volume. 10. Brandability: Is it unique and memorable? A brandable domain can be a game-changer for your business identity. Don’t get too creative though, it doesn’t work for everyone. 11. Future-proofing: Think about how your domain will age. Will it still make sense as your business grows and evolves? 12. Consider domains for sale: Sometimes, investing in an existing domain can be a smart move. Quick update for Domains Outbound. We have been working hard on getting client campaigns ready. The team has been gathering leads, writing copy etc. We have taken a little longer as we added follow ups to our packages. That means we will be sending at least 250k-300k emails in the first month! As you can imagine, we need to ensure emails are warmed up and everything is setup properly. We don’t want emails to go to spam! Everyone will receive an email this week with confirmation of the domains we have selected. We will also provide the date that outbounding begins for each client. Your patience is greatly appreciated!
