I used to read for leisure because, whenever I wasn't working on a project, I usually had a lot of free time, which I'd fill by reading. But since I started my current course of study, reading hasn't been that fun🤣

A secret about academics is they don't really read books. They read parts, pretend they read it all. Historians excel at this. I'm compelled to complete them, even if it's not useful. Yet, I feel shame when I don't read an entire book. Dumb. Read what's useful is a good motto.

@MTradTaboo I'm not even speaking in terms of D/s and M/s. I just don't believe in egalitarianism even in vanilla relationship and as world view at large.

@Dominus_Tim I think “partnerships” are valuable, regardless. The vast majority of couples are not capable, nor suited to D/s, M/s or the like. It is precisely for this reason I have leaned away from writing in those terms. Many people living in these dynamics have no business doing so, IMO.

Some couples are so busy competing with one another and fighting for power that they forget a partnership is supposed to make life easier for each other, not more difficult.
