@Per_Aae No other country having it, which I'm sure is true, has any bearing on whether it is good for us. Few countries have citizenship based on being born there, either. The US has been first in a lot of things.

The Jones Act has a lot of good going for it. Getting rid of it sounds nice, the same way globalization did, and look where that got us? Lack of manufacturing and the skilled labor to do it. The Jones Act maintains that for the US. It needs to stay. share.google/Wf8SDHJIUW59BN…

What a lazy article. 1) Absence of evidence isn't proof. 2) Archaeology has been wrong over & over. Clovis first dogma/there's no such thing as Troy? If Archaeology can't be questioned, there's a bigger problem. What “proven” thing will be disproved next? share.google/2BonCKjt7M5php…

Looks like it's time to undo the exception on Russian oil ban for Hungary and Slovakia. Reimpose the ban and there is no reason for the pipeline, or repairing it. Orbán needs to know that 2 can play this game. He also needs to know the EU is serious. share.google/SFPZXg88J8zR4b…

If offers real benefits especially in the age of AI. If AI replaces student learning, we’ll be in more trouble than we already are. Very few education experts push back. Retention is better. — Cursive reemerges in schools, with pushback from experts npr.org/2026/03/19/nx-…

Fake outrage. NPR is trying to stir up trouble. Taking DNA samples often happens after one has been arrested. Same with fingerprints. They want to find out if you're linked to past crimes. — Is ICE building a DNA database of political protesters? npr.org/2026/03/18/nx-…

@araghchi Do you carry an umbrella? Don't reward Iran for its actions or every nation will do that going forward to get their way. It's like negotiating with terrorists, kidnappers or blackmailers; it only makes them want more and be more bold. Appeasement doesn't work.

A rising number of voices—incl European and U.S. officials—exclaim that the war on Iran is unjust. More members of the international community should follow suit. Wave of global repercussions has only begun and will hit all—regardless of wealth, faith, or race. Our foe is one.

To your comment, I concur. If it weren't for the black/grey market bypassing sanctions, it would be much less of an issue. I’m waiting to see if the report, from Iranian sources, about the hit at Yanbu/YST on the KSA Red Sea side are true. If so, that dramatically affects my assumptions.

Oil continues to skyrocket, with WTI crude futures now up 25% tonight to $114 on the Hormuz closure. Asian markets are also in a full selloff, with the Nikkei down over 7%.

I didn't see South Pars coming. That's really going to hurt the LNG and He markets more than it already has. I still want to point out that what Iran just did in Qatar and KSA was their choice. No one made them do it; provocation doesn't count. Iran continues to act like a child throwing a tantrum, hurting anyone within reach, not the ones hurting them. I have no tolerance for targeting civilians without an extraordinarily damn good reason. That said, I'm gratified to hear that Qatar and KSA may join in the kinetic fun.

Never said war would be done. Did say the strategic reserved would tapped, and the price per barrel would decrease, which it did. What I see is a cycle of rationality followed by fear, because that's what the global media pumps constantly, followed by a rationality recovery. The end of your chart shows a downward price move.

@UN @JeanineHennis This is based on your experience in… Lebanon? That's not exactly a model of stability. Military action certainly led to stability in Japan, Germany and Italy.

For European countries like Germany, which recently said the Iran conflict wasn't their war, World War I and World War II in Europe weren't America’s war either. We didn't start it, but we finished it. When these countries wonder whether the US will come to their aid if needed, they might look at their own actions. The US isn't asking them to fight a war; it's only asking them to help keep global commerce moving. We’re asking them to help themselves, but no, they still want the US to do it all. They sit back and spend money on social programs for immigrants while the US works and bleeds to keep the world safe. We’re used to this from France. We’re getting used to the idea of the UK dithering and doing nothing. I expect more from Germany and the Dutch. Not that they owe us, they simply usually have better character.

It's not surprising. The blue guys are desperate nationwide. They even have Obama saying how great it is with a relatively straight face, which is impressive, even for him. Disenfranchising voters is a great idea to him. wset.com/news/local/ear…

So, it appears the reports of massive numbers of U.S. troops refusing orders regarding Iran are in fact correct… if half of what I’ve seen can be completely confirmed, this may be the largest mass military refusal/protest in History…. Rather telling
