🇮🇷 64 nights straight, Tehran’s Revolution Square is still packed.
Chants ringing out:
“Death is better for me than living in disgrace.”
“We are the soldiers of al-Mujtaba, the valiant one.”

@AlArabiya_Eng That’s a start. Let’s give it another month and see what they come back with then.

🔴 BREAKING: Iran has dropped some of its previous conditions and agreed to include its nuclear program in talks with the United States, sources tell Al Arabiya.
The sources said Tehran has proposed limiting uranium enrichment to 3.5 percent and gradually reducing its existing stockpile of enriched uranium.

@TankerTrackers @mercoglianos A drop in the bucket. Meanwhile Iran’s storage tanks are fuller today than yesterday. Tick tock…..

A National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) VLCC supertanker carrying over 1.9 million barrels (valued at nearly $220 million dollars) of crude oil has managed to evade the U.S. Navy and reach the Far East.
Her name is HUGE (9357183), and we last sighted her off Sri Lanka over a week ago. She is currently traversing the Lombok Strait of Indonesia toward the Riau Archipelago. Until now, HUGE has not transmitted on AIS since 2026-03-20, when she departed the Strait of Malacca for Iran.

@Strandjunker Just move them to Poland, they want US troops.

@BrettErickson28 @raver_lance Not enough research. Try again. Blockade cuts off imports too. Iran imports gas and diesel.

Right I mean... here is the way I see it, and it's based on way too much research and obsession into the topic.
The goal of the blockade were as follows:
1) Force tank tops of Iran's oil storage, forcing them to shut-in, with the promise that this would create "catastrophic damage"
2) A combination of factors, partially tied to what you highlighted alongside the shut-ins, will force rapid hyperinflation of the Rial in excess of what it had been seeing in the months leading up to the War.
3) As a result of 1 and 2, either we would see mass uprisings due to civilian anger in Iran, or we would see Iran be forced to capitulate at the negotiating table in order to avoid said uprisings.
The reality, however, is that we have seen none of this happen. Obviously it should go without saying that we are nowhere close to tank tops. At all. Secondly, per Bessent's own post earlier this week, the rate of inflation in Iran is LOWER, not higher, than it was prior to the start of the conflict.
While I do not disagree that EVENTUALLY the blockade will produce a hyperinflationary environment and likely oil well shut-ins (Which NIOC has done twice in recent years, 2012 and 2019, without "exploding their oil infrastructure), the TIMELINE until that happens is an important part of the equation, and Washington bought into a promise that was delusionally optimistic.
English

It is my genuine belief that the viral analysis that cited “13 days until oil well shut-ins” was the driving force behind the imposition of the U.S. blockade.
You will notice that an exceptional amount of data was posted within 90 minutes of CENTCOM announcing the blockade, and this data has been regurgitated line by line from Trump, Bessent, and Leavitt multiple times.
From Trump’s “3 days until Iran’s oil infrastructure explodes”, to Bessent’s “running out of storage”, it is clear that this is the playbook the Trump Administration was using for our Iran strategy we have seen over the past 19 days.
Unfortunately, here is the end result:
- 2 failed attempts at a second round of Islamabad meetings
- Per Bessent, a LOWERING of rate of inflation compared to pre-war rates
- No “catastrophic” oil well shut-ins in sight
- 19 Days wasted in one of the most catastrophic energy and fertilizer crises the world has ever seen
There is no question that Foundation for Defense of Democracies HAS, and WOULD HAVE milked this all the way to the bank had it been correct.
Unfortunately, if you’re going to bask in the glory of your purported analysis, you must also be willing to face harsh criticism when the cost of your failed assessment will now be measured in human lives.

@AJEnglish @caleycallahanNZ So far about half an oil tanker has been transported. A drop in the bucket.
English

Iraq is rerouting fuel to Syria as it searches for reliable alternative export routes for its oil amid a Hormuz blockade. Establishing a land route could reshape regional energy supply.
Al Jazeera’s @caleycallahanNZ reports.

@TheDMVLive @mooseface111 Cop couldn’t give that poor kid anything better than that cheap fake medal. If that was a black kid, the cop would’ve taken the whole family to jail.
English

@TheDMVLive If this was a black child, all of you would be saying that they don’t know how to behave. But since it’s not. Everyone thinks it’s cute.
English

@MarioNawfal Not enough trucks in the whole Middle East, sorry try again.
English

🇮🇶🇸🇾 Iraqi oil tankers loaded with crude are pouring into Syria right now through the AlYarubiyah crossing in AlHasakah countryside.
Crossing just reopened after 13 years shut and yesterday Iraq sent the first official convoy of 70 tankers.
This is Iraq’s workaround: using Syria as a land bridge to the Mediterranean to dodge the messy Strait of Hormuz chaos.
Long convoys, real money for both sides, and a whole new route lighting up.

CNN's @KFILE investigated the thousands of deleted posts from Michigan Democrat US Senate candidate @MalloryMcMorrow where she expressed disdain for the Midwest (she's from CA) & wrote about her dream where the Midwest is split off from the coasts.

@rickjeff78 But they are only moving 1/100th the volume. Meanwhile the oil storage tanks are almost full, tick tock.

JUST IN:
🇮🇷🇵🇰🇺🇸 Pakistan is actively helping Iran bypass the massive US naval blockade by opening new land routes to funnel thousands of stranded containers straight into the country - Dawn reports
Honestly, Trump’s multi-billion-dollar blockades are completely useless if neighboring nations are willing to act as a massive backdoor
