@DonegalPol

I have never been Alienated but Parental Alienation is horrifying non-gendered abuse on both innocent children & Parents - WE NEED ZERO TOLERANCE OF ABUSE NOW

This government wants you to believe it's normal that over 17,000 people, including nearly 5,500 children, are now homeless. This didn’t just happen. It’s the direct result of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael’s choices - driving up rents, letting evictions soar, stripping supports away from families who needed them most. The solutions are clear: ban rent increases, stop no-fault evictions, and build homes people desperately need. Sinn Féin will continue to fight to make housing affordable.

Men are struggling, women most affected. Every single time. Like clockwork! 🤣 Turns out, demonizing men for decades was not the wise choice. It was always empowering women as if society would prosper as a result while neglecting men… but not the case, is it? Men do not like the trap of responsibility without authority.

1/2 The study: • focuses only on police reported cases • conflates correlation with causation • assumes an allegation equals guilt • overlooks false allegations • ignores men generally reporting less • excludes psychological effects

The Government is making the homeless crisis worse.🤬 They are actively pushing up evictions & rents.📈 There are solutions but FF/FG don’t have the political will to implement them.🙄 Read my @IrishMailSunday op-ed 👇

There are people on my feed right now arguing that boys haven’t been belittled, devalued, put on the back burner, blamed or shamed over the past few decades. What ideological rock have they been living under?

PAPA | People Against Parental Alienation ♻️
When a local grassroots side needed a manager, I volunteered. No hesitation, no agenda. Just a commitment to help give the boys a place to play, grow, and belong. Then I went a step further. I offered to sponsor their kit personally through PAPA, an organisation built on a simple belief that children deserve love, fairness, and the presence of both parents wherever possible. The kits were ordered. Then came the resistance. Concerns were raised, not with me, but behind closed doors. A meeting was held and I was not invited. The sponsorship was rejected. Think about that. An organisation that stands for children’s emotional wellbeing, equal parenting, and protecting kids from psychological harm was considered to have no place in sport. Even more concerning, the club said they would rather risk folding the team than accept support from PAPA. What does that say? That silence is safer than support. That discomfort matters more than doing the right thing. That children miss out because adults avoid difficult conversations. I was not prepared to walk away from the children. This was hard for me to put my pride aside, but I also pride myself on the values PAPA was built on; children come first. Despite being the first person “blacklisted” as a sponsor by the club, I still wanted to give something back to the children, and to the community. I did what I could. I provided training tops for every player. No conditions, just support. Every week, those boys wear them to training with pride. I asked permission from the parents before I ordered, all supported it at the start. They gave consent and backed the idea. But when it came time for a simple team photo, suddenly half the boys were told they could no longer take part. No conversation. No explanation. That is the reality. This is not about hate or even disagreement. This is misunderstanding, or perhaps lack of awareness, by a culture that avoids difficult conversations instead of facing them. Because the truth is simple. There is nothing controversial about protecting children. There is nothing political about wanting kids to feel loved and supported. And there is everything wrong with shutting those conversations down. Sport speaks loudly about racism, inclusion, and equality. So why does talking about children’s rights feel uncomfortable? I did not step up to make noise. But I will not stay silent when doing the right thing is treated as the wrong thing. This is not about me. This is about the children. And I will always choose them. 💪❤️♻️

1 in 6 men have been sexually abused, lifetime. What if all these men took to the streets, demonizing women, saying "all women", joking that women should be curfewed, stating women were clearly unsafe for children and shouldn't be teachers or care workers? 1in6.org

Apart from any other flaws it might have, this study raises all three red flags for paradigm fixation: - Masculinity negatively defined - Student sample - Correlation treated as causation. Same old junk science / smear campaign. Yet it will be treated as if it's important news.

A new global study reveals that countries where men feel constant pressure to prove their masculinity are significantly less happy, suffering from lower life expectancy, poorer economies, and higher perceived corruption. dlvr.it/TRljzY

Children who reject parents are either doing so temporarily due to a developmental phase/relational strain, or they are being coerced to align with an abusive caregiver. Thinking otherwise puts children at serious risk of harm because this child abuse doesn't advertise itself.
