@DorianB112 No, because you’re going to use a lot of those calories for growth. You’re infinitely worse off not going.
English

@DorianB112 Women: doing endless glute circuits and booty-band nonsense.
English

@DorianB112 Going to the gym is never useless, cardio and strength training is positive for EVERYONES health
BUT no amount of working out cancels out a bad diet. You dont have to live off egg whites and kale but you need to put good food in your body to make the most of your gym time
English

@DorianB112 Just 3 times a week with a good diet is way better for your health and muscle growth and everything, so yes diet is important
English

@Geez_Squared Consuming lots of food and still going to the gym is just like you moving in circles
As you’re getting your muscles, the fat increases too
English

@DorianB112 It’s not useless but you are hindering your progress big time
English

@kevinefiles @DorianB112 The question wasn’t exceptional at both. It was assuming disciplined at one and total trash at nutrition.
Most gym goers don’t eat complete trash. They may not be perfect, but it’s on their mind what they’re consuming more than if they don’t go to the gym at all.
English

@kevinefiles @DorianB112 Idk. Most of the people in my gym look significantly healthier than the general population. I’m not buying this narrative that people who regularly exercise pay no attention to what they consume.
English

@friedspongecake Perfectly said💯💪🏾
So I can you’re fully disciplined about your diet right?
English

@DorianB112 It's not a zero-sum game, but the exercise will not negate - nor benefit from - the lack of nutrition in a bad diet.
Exercise is a very energy/nutrient-intensive activity - the last thing you want is to develop some hard-to-detect deficiency that grinds you to a halt.
English

@DorianB112 From a high level, yes.
There may be outlying cases where someone can get away with it for a while, but in the end, you can’t out train a bad diet.
English

Depends on your goal, but generally speaking, yes.
Dorian B@DorianB112
Let’s be honest: is going to the gym 4 to 5 times a week(consistently) useless if your diet is bad and trash? 🤔
English

@DorianB112 Well when I started I was 290 lbs of fat. I got down to 225 then bulked up to 250lbs at 6'4
English

@DorianB112 It’s not useless; just not effective, depending on your goals. Every gym has these type of members.
English

@DorianB112 You would get stronger but if you burn more than you take in you will see results but protein is the key
English

@DorianB112 Not “useless” but the body won’t give you the results you are likely looking for. Likely become “skinny-fat”.
English

@RedBarSystems Exactly
Slow progress
But it doesn’t happen to everyone though
English

@DorianB112 I wouldn’t call it useless. You are still building muscle but the diet is making the training less effective.
English

@BryptoJoe @DorianB112 Mobility, functional movement, power, balance, stamina, positive impact on blood sugar regulation, blood pressure control, stress relief, etc.
