We have NEVER seen lines in the first round of March Madness like this year. From 2013-2025 the highest average line for favorites in the Round of 64 was -11.4 last season. Currently the average line for favorites this weekend is -13.7 ppg!

Teams that protect the ball avoid empty possessions, handle pressure better, and are usually better equipped for late-game execution.
