I consider myself on the Right and I think what happened was awful. But I can hold two thoughts in my head at once. 1) Democrats and the media, encouraged their supporters to endanger themselves and others by assaulting/harassing ICE and praising them for doing so 2) Hitting a federal agent with a car is assault. In that moment, lethal force is a legally permitted response, even though it is horrible. It's easy for anyone, myself included, to sit back and judge a split second, terrifying moment, frame by frame at home. Two things can be true: it’s tragic, and it was predictable, I have been saying so for months. In dangerous scenarios, people make mistakes, they get scared, they do any number of things... that's why encouraging civilians to get in the way of, and harass law enforcement is fucking STUPID. And it has been encouraged by the Left. The Left doesn't get to light the fuse for years, then act shocked when it finally explodes.

I’m not easily shook these days but the number of people who think the appropriate punishment for not following a masked federal agent’s orders is assassination is rather shocking

Challenging wider public health measures during COVID is completely different and totally valid in an N of 1 scenario.

Like other drugs, vaccines offer benefits alongside risks that must be carefully weighed in order for a proper risk reward assessment to be made about their use in different populations, the age at which they are administered, and other relevant considerations. An ACIP panel that includes individuals who have shown a willingness to challenge conventional wisdom on vaccines and other health measures is more likely to get to the truth than one solely comprised of ‘vaccine enthusiasts.’ Vaccines have saved millions of lives, while also causing enormous harm to some. @RobertKennedyJr new ACIP panel can help advance our thinking on vaccine use and thereby help restore confidence that has been lost in our health institutions by an objective and careful review of vaccine policy. RFK is on the right track and he should be applauded for his efforts here.
