I have implemented BEEF merkle proof verification into ElectrumSVP. I think its valuable to have a JSON format, but I have trouble understanding the derivative philosophy of BEEF/BUMP/atomicBEEF promoted by its marketers. They seem to have misunderstandings of how SPV works.
