If Scott Moe forces this through using the notwithstanding clause, he is forcing teachers to violate children's rights or risk losing their jobs. How did Saskatchewan get into the hards of such a cruel authoritarian? leaderpost.com/news/local-new…

@AnitaAnandMP Iran has a right to defend itself, correct? Just going by what you've said about Israel and Ukraine in the past. We wouldn't want to look like extreme hypocrites letting a foreign rogue state set our international policy.

Hey @Microsoft you might want to check out why my Microsoft SLS which was presenting in PowerPoint to my university class spontaneously reset without warning and got stuck in a reboot loop for 8 minutes trying to do the latest unapproved update. It's a bad look.

i just used AI to identify a $100+ million opportunity for Seattle. currently, to get across the water, you have to drive all the way around it, as cars don't float this is extremely inefficient. but if you look closely, bainbridge island and seattle aren't actually all that far apart. and if we were to construct some sort of boat that carried cars, it could make the trip much quicker together with claude code, i planned out this potential route for the boat does anyone have any contacts in the local government?

The Nagging Question: Did Shared Intelligence Sink the Iranian Frigate? Under the military pacts COMCASA and LEMOA, India and the U.S. share sensitive maritime data. If a U.S. attack submarine used shared data to locate and sink an Iranian frigate that had just departed an Indian port after participating in a multilateral naval exercise, it would represent a foundational breach of the defense partnership. A Moudge-class frigate such as the IRIS Dena, even if fully armed, would be no match for a U.S. nuclear-powered attack submarine operating in India’s maritime backyard. But the circumstances matter. If the Dena carried little or no munitions — as the “peace protocol” of India’s MILAN-2026 exercise requires — the strike looks less like combat than a premeditated execution. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized that the Dena was a “guest of the Indian Navy” and was struck “without warning” while in a non-combat posture. Such a claim is not implausible. In multilateral naval exercises focused on camaraderie and collaboration, visiting warships typically do not carry a full combat load of live munitions, unless required for a scheduled live-fire drill. During MILAN exercise’s harbor phase in Visakhapatnam, participating ships are required to remain in a “safe” configuration. That phase includes public tours, diplomatic events and a fleet review, all of which require strict safety protocols. Even during the sea phase, where operational drills and live-fire events occur, the ammunition carried is tightly controlled and limited to what is required for specific drills. If the Dena left the exercise area in such a restricted configuration, the imbalance between target and attacker becomes stark: a lightly armed — or possibly unarmed — guest ship departing a cooperative exercise, tracked and destroyed by the world’s most sophisticated undersea warfare platform.

Leaving stranded sailors to drown after sinking their ship at sea is an example of the US demonstrating that the US are not like the Nazi. The US are so much worse. Conventions of war are part of civilization. Ignoring them is a war crime.

@PeterHRatcliffe 1. Submarines never pick up survivors. 2. The Sri Lankan navy was immediately there and picked people out of the water.

The Iranian ship will not be where it was if we had not invited it to talk part in our Milan exercise. We were the hosts. I am told that as per protocol for this exercise ships cannot carry any ammunition. It was defenceless. The Iranian naval personnel had paraded before our president . The attack by the US submarine was premeditated as the US was aware of the Iranian ship’s presence in the exercise to which the US navy was invited but withdrew from participation at the last minute, presumably with this operation in mind. The US has ignored India’s sensitivities as the ship was in these waters because of India’s invitation. We are far from politically or militarily responsible for the US attack. Our“responsibility” is at a moral and human plane. A word of condolence by the Indian Navy ( after political clearance) at the loss of lives of those who were our invitees and saluted our president would be in order.
Lt Gen DP Pandey@LtGenDPPandey

Our watch gets over when the Ship leaves territorial water. Not till they get home. Their country is at war. They should have stayed in shelter of India. In international waters, they had Not sought an escort from Indian Navy. And the incident is off the Sri Lankan coast...not India.
