Know what’s annoying? Loyalty cards for “better” prices. Why should I hand over my personal data just to not be overcharged? If that’s the real price, make it the price. Charging more if you don’t sign up shouldn’t be allowed. And now it’s every shop , not only supermarkets 😒

@MartinSLewis If the 5% VAT on heating oil was dropped then all oil households would get a bit of help. Oil has more than doubled in price and so has the VAT charged on this “luxury”.

@NatashaWatkins1 @MartinSLewis Everyone on mains gas gets the benefit of a price cap but only some people get help with heating oil costs. Not impressed.

It’s not just the vulnerable who need help with heating oil costs. Three weeks ago it was 60p a litre and today the price is more than £1.28 a litre. In the current climate, households have no option other than to order oil at an extortionate inflated price due to the impact of the conflict in the Middle East. Everyone is struggling but once again, the ‘squeezed middle’ takes the pain.

The PM listed 5 things they'll do to "protect the cost of living". Most just reiteratedexisting situation, the new thing, as expected was £53m to help vulnerable with home heating oil costs. We'll starting digging into that ASAP. Will update here when I know more.

Went to 5guys after the cinema yesterday, got Ryan a meal sat in the booth, I never order anything for myself I always eat when I get home, anyway Ryan's sat with his meal , one of the people that work there come up and ask if everything is OK with the meal, and then asks me if id like something to eat, I explain I eat when I get home he then says go on let me get you a drink my treat, I say yes thankyou, this the second time this has happened, I think its lovely of them, i think they were concerned I wasnt eating or something I don't know, but the staff are always fantastic always very kind.
