The DWP saved £950 million via people on PIP not claiming what they're eligible to - why don't they make a fuss of that? By @RachelCDailey_ thecanary.co/uk/analysis/20…

I guarantee these criminals will kill a child on the other side of the door in the near future. What an effing disgrace to real High Court Enforcement Officers (if there are any real HCEO please DM me) these criminals are very very dangerous. Lure someone to open the door then use a battering ram to smash the door into that person's face. The only authority who can lawfully break into your home is the police when someone has committed certain crimes or they think someone is in immediate danger, and HMRC. Don't be fooled by these criminals, unfortunately they are protected by the police. #HCEO #Brixton #Lambeth #policeisnotyourfriend #criminallymanagedeconomy #knowthelaw #protectyourself

@NuaGRGVictim @DreadnoughtNow @FakeEviction @premnsikka @Barclays We just need to open the door against one Bank to alert the rest that we will not be target's for their mistakes. The survivors of their greed are gathering force. Just needs one remarkable storyline to break through.

SIX BANKERS JAILED Sally Masterton was a forensic accountant at Lloyds Banking Group (@LBGplc). In 2013 she wrote an internal report, Project Lord Turnbull, documenting how HBOS executives had deliberately concealed a £1 billion fraud at their Reading branch before Lloyds acquired them. Small businesses destroyed. Lives ruined. Fraud siphoning money to pay for kickbacks, prostitutes and Barbados holidays. She was pushed out in 2014. Lloyds publicly denied the report was even authorised. They called her a rogue employee acting alone. The police, meanwhile, were writing letters saying her work was vital to their investigation and trying to have her co-opted onto the case. @TheFCA received the report in 2014. They did nothing for years. Nothing. The regulator whose entire job is to catch this exact thing sat on it. Six HBOS executives were eventually jailed for a combined 47 years. The fraud was real. The cover-up was real. Masterton was right about all of it. Lloyds settled with her twice. The second time, in 2018, they formally admitted the report was commissioned by the bank and apologised, saying she had acted with integrity and good faith. That is what institutions call justice when they want to avoid the word sorry. The FCA was fined £45 million for concealing the fraud. Not a single board-level executive was held accountable. The £45 million fine went straight to the Treasury. Thames Valley Police spent £7 million investigating a fraud they could never recover from the fraudsters. The Chancellor at the time refused to reimburse them. A woman who did her job properly was fired, smeared, and silenced with a non-disclosure agreement. The people who covered up a billion-pound fraud kept their careers. Nothing about any of this was an accident. MP Kevin Hollinrake (@kevinhollinrake) called her treatment disgraceful. He was right. It was also completely predictable for anyone who knows how these institutions protect themselves. Share this if you think the public deserves to know. ONE WOMAN TRIED TO STOP BRITAIN'S BIGGEST CORPORATE COLLAPSE Emma Mercer was new to her finance job at Carillion, one of Britain's biggest construction companies. Six weeks in, she found something that should have stopped everything. The numbers in the company accounts were made up. Debts were hidden. Profits were invented. Projects worth hundreds of millions of pounds were lying on paper. She told her boss. He ignored her. She told the CEO. Same. She went to HR because she had nobody left to tell. A board member later put it in writing. Emma was a whistleblower who did not feel she was listened to. She was right about every single thing. So what did the board do? They cancelled the independent investigation and gave the job to KPMG @KPMG instead. The same company that had been checking Carillion's accounts every year for 19 years and calling them healthy. The same company being paid £29 million by Carillion to do it. MP Frank Field @frankfieldteam said it out loud in Parliament. KPMG were asked to mark their own homework. They gave themselves top marks. Eight months after Emma raised the alarm, Carillion collapsed. January 2018. The biggest company bankruptcy in British history. Here is what that meant for real people. 3,000 workers lost their jobs overnight. 28,500 people saw their pensions cut. There was a £2.6 billion hole in the pension fund that ordinary workers had paid into for years. Taxpayers spent £150 million just keeping hospitals, schools and prisons running while the mess was cleaned up. Meanwhile, the former Finance Director Richard Adam sold every share he owned on the exact day the 2016 annual report was published. He walked away with £750,000 in his pocket. The shares were worth nothing a few months later. The regulator @FRCnews took five years to do anything. When it finally did, KPMG was fined £21 million, the biggest fine ever handed to an auditor in Britain. It also came out that KPMG staff had faked meeting notes and changed spreadsheets to fool the regulator when it came to inspect. The lead auditor was banned from the profession for 10 years. The fine was still less than what KPMG was paid by Carillion. One woman walked into a new job and told the truth in her first six weeks. She was ignored and pushed aside. The executives who ignored her kept their bonuses. The auditors who backed them up kept their fees. The workers who had nothing to do with any of it lost their jobs and their pensions. Rachel Reeves @RachelReevesMP said it at the time. The board claimed they never saw it coming. Emma Mercer saw it in a month and a half. This is how British corporate accountability works. @Jonathan_K_Cook Since Thatcher, neoliberals have been stealing the wealth and power of ordinary people. Since Starmer, neoliberals have been attacking British civil rights. Dissenting voices and politicians have failed to arrest the descent into impoverished fascism. They are the problem.
