The newer generation of snooker (Wilson, Lisowski) are much better at the commentary and punditry then then middle generation (Dale, Murphy, O Sullivan etc). #snookerworldchampionship

@Mysteron_Voice Wouldn’t blame the crowd for that last frame, referee should have stopped it and crowd knew it. Wu was loving it
English

What on earth is happening at the snooker this year, the ridiculous WUUUUU, the crowd reactions and slow handclaps during The Longest Frame In Crucible History, and now some complete idiot feeling the need to scream at Shaun Murphy.

Fuck me this Robertson Higgins game could do with a few kicks #savethechalk
English

Neil Robertson on the Triangle chalk: ‘Ban that crap, please. All the players hate it, it destroys the game. You get kicks, you get bounces. Not only that, it makes an absolute mess of the table. It’s like (Ronnie) is doing artwork with chalk all over the cloth.'

@TheGreenBaize I enjoyed Steve Davis insinuating during the mid-session interval that the reason why Ronnie hadn't switched to the new brand was because he might be sponsored by the old one. The Rocket is in the pocket of Big Chalk.
English

I’m with Ronnie on the chalk. He’s free to use what he wants isn’t he? #TeamTriangle

@starwashiom @philhaigh_ Two 147s in a single match. The final was century after century or one table clear ups the whole way through.
Other games were empty I agree but vip tickets for 50€ with all you can eat buffet, a few Saudi kids as wild cards and White vs Doherty headline. It was fantastic.
English

There goes the Saudi Arabia Masters.
Many issues with the tournament but losing it is a blow for players and their earning ability.
Lots of money won over the last two years now can't be defended.

@starwashiom @philhaigh_ Was at the final, was a good crowd and some of the best snooker I’ve ever seen. The money resulted in some unbelievable snooker being played. Everyone at home could watch on tv and enjoy.
English

@philhaigh_ It was un unmitigated disaster from start to finish. Awful crowds, zero etiquette, crap TV, just a huge f*king money-grab. WST should be hugely ashamed for playing a part in the Saudi SportsWashing episode. Now for Newcastle FC to go arse up, please ...

@EricTrump Freedom of speech …. People have to give access to their phones to make sure they’re not saying anything that disagrees with Trump or Isreal in order to get into your country….. well looks like I’ve just messed up my visa chances… oops
English

Piers - I love you but it didn’t work out too well for you last time… start by taking back London and reestablishing freedom of speech. Just a suggestion… 🤣
Piers Morgan@piersmorgan
If President Trump wants to take the Falkland Islands away from Britain, then we must reclaim the United States. Perfect way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American Independence. King Charles can announce it to Congress next week.
English

@Emma_A_Webb But you have free Health Care. And 1 in 2 people who smoke will get cancer and that requires medical attention. Maybe solution is a scan that shows a smoker is no longer entitled to free health if they require it?
English

I don’t smoke. Never have. I have no skin in the game. But this really is draconian. It should not be within the power of the government to interfere with the personal choices of citizens like this.

@philhaigh_ Ronnie is one of the reasons why Murphy can play snooker for a living. The jealousy is sickening. Every chance he gets he snipes
English

'It’s a real shame and they probably could both have done a little bit more to help promote the game over the years.'
Shaun Murphy not impressed by Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump not turning up at the Crucible today

@AmiriKing Irish people chant Ole Ole Ole… I’d say it’s part of our culture at this stage, I’m sure artists don’t like it, they can say that and we move on. I bet it’s mostly white people pushing the cancel agenda rather than Arabs anyway.
English

@DJDJaco @thejournal_ie Is the concern not a fuel shortage? Surely government should be enforcing work from home and necessary travel only. Higher prices are there to try stop using fuel. Farmers get it cheaper already, I’m sure they’ve already raised their selling prices for food etc.
English

@thejournal_ie The Irish government ran a €12.4bn surplus last year. Waiving fuel duty for 90 days would cost around €670m, less than 6% of that surplus. The headroom is there. The only thing missing is the will.

John Dallon and a small group of other protesters have arrived and been turned away from the talks at Leinster House.
They now say the protests will continue. jrnl.ie/7008524

@jane_kihika Don’t go fan crazy for one team or driver it’s not football. I want Lewis to get his 8th but I love watching Max because he’s made the sport a lot more exciting than it was going. I liked Lando doing well too. I just want good racing.

@BigAbe1863 @AdamCrafton_ @TheAthleticFC @mjshrimper Great to see Americans finally admit they’re third world

@AdamCrafton_ @TheAthleticFC @mjshrimper Good. We couldn’t care less about the World Cup or soccer. Milk these third world scum for every cent they’ve got.

@TwinkTheory I imagine James Potter was from a wealthy family and it’ family fortune. They also only had one son and could of had life assurance 🤣Weasley’s have like 20 children and one working parent.
English

How did Harry potters parents have all that cash for his trust fund? They died at 21 and the only jobs in the wizarding world are civil servant, barmaid, teacher or shop owner. Or is it just like magic? And if so how are the Weasleys poor like how far does magic go? Are they just bad at magic?
