@Fenrirtheicewo1 GRRM got the biggest freebie all of writing; other people finished his story for him, did a terrible job, and he can see what not to do.

G. R. R.'s Moral Grayness storytelling ultimately wrote him into one of the hardest walls possible because now there's no heroes and only villains left, he was trying to tell a story of why heroes are necessary and ultimately make a triumphant upbringing of it, but he bit more than he can chew... Tolkien is where it's at for me.

@CorpseKings IMO the point is to demoralize the existing fanbase so that they leave and WotC can instead market solely to a demographic that doesn't fundamentally understand economics and will buy anything the company produces.

If your Fantasy Races don't have Penalties or Quirks - what's the point of them? Why even have different races in your game? Give your players the freedom to actually ROLEPLAY.
