Practice is the time to build confidence. Consistently doing skills correctly in practice creates habits that build self-confidence. If players accept sloppy performances in practice, they are practicing failure. Confidence is built on doing a skill correctly again & again.

Some good advice for young people on a frigid January morning….

Have been talking about this a lot recently w/my psych classes and team: “You can’t be what you can’t see”. If you want to be great at something — go watch, be with/around, & learn from those who are already there. It matters.

We don't always control what happens to us, but we do always control how we interpret what happens to us... And how we respond.
