A new Institute of Race Relations poll points to a large moderate majority in South Africa, often more pragmatic than the policies advanced in their name. 70% say government should no longer use apartheid race categories to decide who qualifies for business and job opportunities. 27% disagree. 66% would support the best person for president regardless of race. Only 23% said they would support only a black candidate. On empowerment, 82% want government to find out how much it is overspending on BEE premiums. On value, 61% say they are not getting good value from government. 57% want to be taxed less. The poll also puts the ANC at 36% and the DA at 27%, a gap of nine points, down from eighteen at the 2024 election. The findings echo polling by The Common Sense. Aside from some image quality faults, the PS5 version of 007 First Light is in great shape - but PS5 Pro offers the premium experience.

I loved 007 First Light! This is just my type of game. A great take on Bond that goes beyond Craig-era and embraces some of the silliness. A great mix. It's FUN to play. I love the combat and shooting. A blast to play aggressively. Walking around Q Branch is a Bond fan's dream. There's a filler level and the game loses boss battle steam towards the end (like so many of these types of games do tbh). I also wish there was more driving. Patrick Gibson is a great Bond. I was thrilled and am playing through again rn. I want more of all this. I can't fit all my pros/cons in a tweet so instead of yelling at this post, wait for my videos. Easy rec for real Bond fans though.

NVIDIA has officially retired the GeForce Control Panel after 20 years, ending one of the longest-running software tools in PC gaming. The company is moving users to the newer NVIDIA App, which combines driver updates, game optimization, DLSS and RTX settings, performance tools, overlays, and display settings into one application. The old Control Panel will still work for now but is now considered a legacy app and will no longer receive major updates for GeForce users. For many gamers it has been a familiar part of the Windows experience since the early 2000s.

I suppose the problem is that we expect the party that presided over the problem to fix it. We are the fools, actually. They don’t have a solution. They didn’t have one before these protests started. They don’t have one now.
