Anyone could’ve seen this coming. Only morons jumped on the “NATO is rejecting Trump” narrative. Both Europe and Asia rely heavily on Middle Eastern energy — FAR more than us. None of these countries could afford the energy and economic hit. They need the Strait to open for their own self-interest. They were just lazily hoping America would do it for them. I would frame this as a huge diplomatic win for Trump, but in reality, he didn’t have to do anything. It was inevitable.

On two separate occasions over the past two weeks, President Trump has publicly said, on video, that if not for the United States’ direct involvement against Iran, Israel wouldn’t exist right now. He said that “Israel would have been OBLITERATED by nuclear weapons” and that “Israel would have been WIPED OUT by nuclear weapons” - these are direct quotes from the President. In this same timeframe, we’ve also seen Israel attack (without giving the United States a heads-up) the Iranian ‘Shahr Rey’ oil refinery on March 7th, and now, the Iranian ‘South Pars’ natural gas field on March 18th - this most recent attack actually bothered President Trump so much that he felt compelled to make a Truth Social post about it. Where’s the deference? Where’s the gratitude? As President Trump has said multiple times, Israel quite literally WOULD NOT EXIST right now without the support of the United States of America. So why is Israel cutting the United States out of the decision making process and bombing key energy infrastructure without getting an explicit green-light from President Trump? Incredibly concerning.

What conservative ever called it "unfair?" It's war. There's no such thing. Unlike you, we don't pretend that the world operates on some gay platitudes of "fairness" or "international law." What's hilarious is that leftists can't even comprehend that, so they assume conservatives think like they do. We will both blockade Cuba and break the Iranian blockade because we are the global superpower and trying to win. It's really as simple as that. No war in history has ever been "fair." It wasn't fair for the Allies to have broken the Axis codes, but the Axis didn't have the Allies'. It wasn't fair that Persia outnumbered Greece. It wasn't fair that conquistadors had guns and horses. War isn't fair, and neither is the world. Grow up. You literally think like children.
Jenni@hashjenni

So let me get this straight: Iran blocking the Strait of Hormuz is ,unfair’ but blocking oil shipments to Cuba in order to collapse their whole country is what? Fair?

I supported Trump in 2016. I supported Trump in 2020. I supported Trump in 2024. Less than a year into his second term I took a step back, reflected, and began questioning his leadership and character. No, I don’t wish Kamala was in office. No, I don’t support the democratic party. I have never trusted our government, regardless of what party was in charge. I have always believed that we should question everything because the entirety of our system and its history is corrupt. If you can still support this administration after following the money and witnessing what is happening in real time, you are actually retarded. If you are supporting this administration and blatantly ignoring what is going on, you are also retarded.

@coleslawless @lisachristinect What are you talking about? This administration is doing its best to make America stronger and safer. The fraud has been rampant for decades and its going to take a minute to do anything about it. What, specifically, is this admin doing that bothers you?

I few people have asked me about #Oil so here are my thoughts for anyone interested; Oil was in the 60s pre war so it must be assumed that is the 'fair market price' and everything above that is the 'war premium'. Therefore, if their is de-escalation it will drop and head towards the 60s. If the war escalates it goes higher and deciding a maximum price is difficult. BUT all the claims on twitter of $200 or $150 are mainly based on fear and emotions rather than any real data or thought process. The reality is that the economy is too fragile to cope with prices that high so any sustained price over $100 tips economies into recession and kills demand. Also, Trump can't take prices in the 90s, let alone over 100 for more than a month if he is to have any hope of a positive mid-term election result. So the political pressure from within his own party leads to my thought that the most likely outcome is as follows; - high prices in the range $80-120 for the next month. - Any price towards the top of that range (anything over $100 really) is a better short than long. - Any price towards the bottom (anything below $80) is a better long than short for the next month - Anything in between are day trades only. - The US will declare 'victory' and find some sort of off ramp from the war within the next 2 months - After that, oil will straight away drop to the $60s and Trump will find ways to bring it even lower (deals with oil producers, incentives to US producers) and the US economy will be entering recession so demand will drop - At some point this year Oil will be in the $40s and that is likely the region where it finds a low. NOTES: - I am a short term trader and not a long term trader, analyst or oil expert so whilst this is my honest thought, there is a high degree of uncertainty in much of this - Not financial advice #USoil #Crude #Brent #WTI
