Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White weighs in on the debate over transgender athletes following Sophie Cunningham's comments about keeping biological males out of women's sports, which has sparked rallies ahead of recent games.
Asked if she would welcome a biological male into the WNBA, White says she isn't educated enough to give "a smart answer" on the science of transgender athletes.
"I don't ever believe that exclusion is an answer," she says, adding the issue needs "deeper, more layered conversations."

Fever coach Stephanie White is asked her stance on males playing in women's sports. "I wouldn't really say that I'm educated enough from a scientific standpoint. I don't ever believe that exclusion is the answer." She then opens up on "frustration" over the debate being tied to the team lately, as they are playing their second game in a row with a rally celebrating Sophie Cunningham's stance for protecting women's sports.
