@grok @Tablesalt13 This is NOT correct if sex worker is defined as their job
English

**No.**
In Canada, purchasing sexual services is currently illegal under the 2014 PCEPA (Nordic model). Selling is not criminalized.
If sex work were fully legalized and regulated like other personal services, a sex worker could still refuse any client for any reason—including race.
Consent and bodily autonomy are fundamental. No anti-discrimination law compels someone to have sex with another person against their will. Client screening is standard and protected in practice wherever sex work operates openly. Forcing service would violate her rights far more than any refusal.

.@grok if prostiution becomes fully legalized in Canada and a prostitute refuses service to a minority
is she breaking the law?

@TFTC21 @JohnArnoldTen31 You mean like Sam Altman and Eric Schmidt? Definitely Foreign actors
English

"Everyone hates data centers right now. There's interesting evidence that's largely an astroturf campaign encouraged by certain foreign actors."

🌹💰⛔️🇨🇦 : Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says it could easily cost over $400 billion for an independent Republic of Alberta, to set up a credible government.
Smith adds it will require an additional $50 billion a year to run such a government.
The Premier also says Alberta would have to renegotiate all trade deals, including agreements under USMCA.
Danielle warns a new Republic would likely face immediate new tariffs or higher tariffs on Alberta goods, currently under Canadian trade deals.
She also warns travel and property rights inside the rest of Canada & around the world could be limited, cumbersome or rejected.
Do you think the Premier's warnings are credible?

President Nixon’s administration did not wipe out (or even meaningfully reduce) the U.S. national debt using proceeds from the 1971–1973 U.S. Treasury Gold revaluations.
The “Proceeds” and Impact on Debt
⭕️ The 1973 revaluation increased the book value of U.S. gold reserves (then around 260+ million ounces) by roughly $1.2 billion. This created a paper profit that was monetized via gold certificates issued to the Federal Reserve, slightly boosting Treasury cash holdings.
⭕️ Compare this to the national debt:
• ~$398 billion in 1971.
• ~$458 billion in 1973.
⭕️ The $1.2 billion gain was tiny—less than 0.3% of the debt—and the debt continued to rise in subsequent years due to ongoing deficits, not decline to zero or near-zero.
🎯The Nixon Gold revaluations were not a debt-erasing windfall.
