is there anything more obnoxious than people creating AI albums by legacy artists? i swear i have seen so many people posting AI van halen albums, along with “lost demo’s” from firehouse, skid row, dokken, etc. that are all bullshit. stupid…

A great album for it’s time, how HUGE was Talk Dirty To Me 🔥🤘🔥 I won’t forget you? Are you kidding me? The girls loved that song. I was 14 when this dropped, so I thought it was awesome. Then Open Up arrived and BURIED it. I rarely ever play it on purpose, but when its songs pop up on my Apple radio station I do not skip them. Big nostalgia with this one, it will always have a place in my digital catalog 🤘

It’s been a crazy last couple of weeks so now I’m trying to get back on here more. These are three new additions from several weeks back I haven’t had a chance to post yet. Three bands who are synonymous with the 80’s and early 90’s with three albums that followed absolute classics. First up is Queensryche’s Empire from 1990. This was the bands fourth album and it capitalized on the attention they received on the previous album, Operation Mindcrime. This is such a good album! Empire would go on to be the bands most successful album sales wise going triple platinum thanks in part to the singles Empire, Best I Can, my favorite form the album Jet City Woman and of course the song that was the second single, Silent Lucidity. White Lions 1989 Big Game is next. This was the bands third album and it had the challenge of following up their smash hit Pride from two years earlier. I know this album doesn’t get the love Pride gets but I personally really like it. One of my favorite White Lion songs Little Fighter was the lead single followed by the band’s amazing cover of Radar Love. Both videos were in steady rotation on MTV. It was written over a two week period and the band was in the studio shortly after to record it. I remember reading a couple years later that the band felt rushed to get another album out to capitalize on the success of Pride and its tour so the album felt half finished. I still think it’s a really good album regardless. Poison’s 1993 Native Tongue is last. This album is probably more known for being the one without C.C. DeVille and the one with Richie Kotzen, who would be fired after the tour when it was discovered he was involved with Rikki Rockets fiancé. It also had the distinction of coming out during the height of grunge so it was never going to get the support from radio and MTV the first three albums got. However it still managed to peak at number 16 on the Billboard 200. Listening back to it now this is a really good album that typically gets looked over because of everything around it. The band didn’t jump head first into the grunge and alternative sound on this album like so many 80’s bands did during this time period. Instead they focused more on the rhythm and blues side of their influences. How do you think these albums did following the classic albums before them? #hairmetal #hardrock #vinylrecords #vinylcollection @HBBasement @HDBGChronicles @NatesHiddenGems @TheHunterCarnes @UniqueHiFi @FromHairTo4Ever @Bad_Hair_Decade @HairMetalGuru @ColdasBryyyce @ThaHeathen @bsmntdwllr73 @Grizzard_Goober @bsmntdwllr73 @AndyLeRock @reidworld @pvmckeown @BerserkerBill @CTMetsfan124 @KillahRoxxMusic @BillLam54414323 @BOBinBroadview @coolasice232 @jamiecaste73635 @JenniferSi33633 @dean_maiers @Racer24 @ipmuniversal @gjgp89 @Nico8x8 @Jackson1556 @GTAK_Weld @XIBILXIC @GlitterLitter13 @reidworld @JGSixxgun @jay6_29 @MoMetalTrax @LFCMFighter @LindaS72 @shaun_pinney @pb1505thfc @rob37316784 @RobbCar13 @RonSwanson1971 @AddFlan1 @lipstickNL13 @NeedleOfSteel
