No, Clark. That’s exactly what we’re advocating against. That’s why we’re against surrogacy and donor conception, which inherently breaks up a family.
We’re against it in all forms, in all places, in and out of the church. It’s called consistency. You’re just upset when it applies to you.
“Just worry about yourself” isn’t an argument, it’s just your way of telling us to shut up because you can’t actually defend your position.
What defense do you have for supporting children being purposefully created with the intention of separating them from their biological parent(s) so that a gay couple can raise them? Defend that and I’ll listen.

Your adult desires want to rip families apart, allow kids to sit in foster care, and institute a theocracy in a democratic republic. If you truly cared about children, you would start by cleaning your house (the church) before telling other people to clean theirs. Isn’t there a scripture about that? Yet, how many times have you posted about sexual abuse by your own? How many times do you go and rally to support the kids in churches who routinely get abused? Haven’t seen a montage video about those kids… Your priorities show that your main focus is not children, because if it was, you would start your activism with where you have the most power, which is the church. So save me the spiel on how this is about children. It’s not. Y’all just need to use them to put emotion behind your terrible ideas or else the public won’t be on board. Christians should tread lightly, though. Increasing the size of government to advance your moral desires eventually backfires when the opposing party gets into office.

“There’s now a place for us to have this conversation, to be able to talk as openly as this. I was very lucky with my career, I got to travel the world and get paid to play basketball, which is such a privilege. I probably didn’t live my life as authentically as [I] probably could have during my time. Part of it was a view that it was just my business, but the world shifted between our generations, when marriage equality vote rolled around [in 2017], I was very vocal around that while still not publicly saying, ‘I’m a gay man.’ I think for a long time it was, ‘I want to be a basketballer, and to be a basketballer I had to be this — I have to present as straight. I have to not show this side of my personality.’ So I had two social media accounts. One that I’d use for basketball stuff, and one that I just had friends on where I could be more open. Growing up, it wasn’t just in basketball; it was like media as a whole — it just wasn’t positive portrayals of gay relationships. It was more, ‘It’s going to be a sad life, a lonely life.’ [It] definitely weighed on me pretty heavily.”
