The trend of treating all of AI as One Big Thing that always includes data centers & job changes & education changes & power & accelerating science & misinformation & national security & corporate control & healthcare is going to inevitably lead to some bad policy on all sides.

@the_sigh_op2 @EFF A lot of old pro-freedom orgs have pivoted away from their original missions in favor of partisan hackery. It's on us to find the next set of organizations that do better.

@DustinJEwers @EFF But then they wouldn't have the chance to virtue signal to whatever institutional capture happened over there. Almost ashamed to have donated to them in the past now.

After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X. This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue. 🧵(1/5)

@EFF It costs roughly zero effort to cross post to X. This is lame and political.

When you go online, your rights should go with you. X is no longer where the fight is happening. EFF takes on big fights, and we win by putting our time, skills, and members’ support where they will have the most impact. Right now, that means Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and eff.org. We hope you follow us there and keep supporting the work we do. eff.org/deeplinks/2026… (5/5)

@dhh Thank goodness someone's bucking the trend. I'm so sick of dopey face thumbnails.

This is why Jason and I have worked so well together for 25 years. Independently of each other, we both responded to a listener suggestion for a more WOW FACE YouTube thumbnail for the REWORK podcast. Hit sent at the same minute 😄

If the AI revolution doesn’t result in 10x higher quality software when being driven by experienced engineers, I’m gonna be so disappointed in us. We should be “over cooking” the things we undercooked before because of the cost.

Everyone's on here saying agency is the king skill for the AI world. I think sanity is the real differentiator. Between constant hyperbole, cosmic upheaval, and an attention economy based on outrage, keeping your head on straight is the ultimate AI survival skill.

@fortelabs Use Open Router instead. Not only can you still use Claude, you also get access to cheaper models that score similarly in benchmarks.

How are people using openclaw getting around the 10,000 tokens per minute limit on the Anthropic API? I keep hitting that just interacting with it for like an hour And there doesn't seem to be a way to raise that limit without a custom agreement

I was going to ignore this one, but I've seen this article nearly a half dozen times in various shares, including in my morning brief from my OpenClaw bot. tl;dr; - AI changes what people do. It makes them more productive, but like a mental Jevons paradox, it also causes them to work more. This can lead to burnout. I think a big reason that this is happening is because the folks who are embracing these workflows are already workaholic productivity fiends. The novelty flavored dopamine of getting fast results and the different cognitive muscles required to manage AI Agents are causing people to overdo it. This problem goes away when folks figure out norms around AI use (which the articles suggests doing) and moderate agency normies embrace the technology. Link in the next post

@typecraft_dev Bambu A1 Mini or a P1S. The mini is roughly $200 bucks and it prints toys like a champ. If you want more, the P1S is a workhorse that I've produced thousands of items on.

Heads up: Anthropic is giving out $50 of free credit to many Claude Code users if you go to the usage dashboard and click "claim"

I decided to do an informal test of a bunch of CLI coding tools by building the same site in each tool. Here's my stack ranking: Claude code: 9/10 - Not as pretty as the open code version, but very smooth experience Open Code: 8.5/10 - Best looking site of the bunch and it plugs right into my Copilot sub. Copilot: 6.5/10 - Would be 8/10 if it didn't stall on me. Gemini CLI: 1/10 - Didn't work at all for me, but I've used the Gemini coding models and they do the job. I think you're gtg with any of the major CLI tools. Pick what you like and build stuff.

@burkeholland Fun Fact: Your life expectancy goes up as you get older. For example, someone who's 40 has an additional life expectancy of 40 years (putting you in the lows 80's overall). Retirement & Survivors Benefits: Life Expectancy Calculator

Charlie Munger's advice to Flexport CEO Ryan Petersen: “The key to success is dumb competition.” “I always say that to people who are building AI companies. What a nightmare. Your competitors are literally AI geniuses. You should find a way to apply AI in some other domain so you're not competing with the smartest people on planet Earth.” @Flexport CEO @typesfast on The Knowledge Project Podcast with @shaneparrish
