1/n: So, another long thread. Read on. #KVPY Suddenly, in another "masterstroke", the DST decided yesterday to subsume the KVPY into the INSPIRE scheme. This adds to the list of already long list of blows which they have delivered to the basic science ecosystem recently.

Part of the cafe @PrithviTheatre is a biology lab as we have our hands-on session on En-gene-ering the future. Multiple stations with different fun experiments for the public to try out! #scicomm

Congrats to our @iGEM #SponsorshipChallenge Winner for July, @iGEM_iiserbpr!! 🥳🙌🙌🤩 The team is bringing awareness to MDR #TB in India by #educating and #engaging their community! Don't Give Up‼‼ With 2 Chances left, YOUR #iGEM2021 team could be the next to win! 😉😏💸

@GenScript @iGEM In 2018, over 56% of Multidrug-resistant #TB cases were undetected & 64% were untreated in #India. This makes India’s fight against this disease harder, as those with untreated TB can infect others. Read this thread to see how we are bringing awareness to our project's issue:(1/5)

Appropriate technology that makes a difference to underserved societies.

@GenScript @iGEM Drug resistance is a major threat to the global health care system. Our team is using #syntheticbiology to create a novel molecular diagnostic kit that will use the CRISPR-Cas technique to detect both Tuberculosis (TB) and Multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB). (1/3)

@GenScript @iGEM TB is the 9th leading cause of deaths all across the world. We aim to develop a cheap, efficient & accessible system for early diagnosis of MDR-TB before it becomes severe or fatal, helping India become TB free by 2025! What about you? @igem_iisc @iGEMParisSaclay @iGEM_IISERKol
