@ii_analyze Half a chicken breast?! One fucking carrot. And a cup of spinach. 🤣 Thats only about 280 calories. You need a minumum of 2000 a day. This for 3 meals is 840 cal. Im 6'6" and active, I would literally starve to death if I ate this for each meal.

Subnautica 2 is a pacifist ideology woven into a game. Players have noticed you cannot defend yourself against attacking fish. Not even in self defense. Only passive means are available. This was by design. You can't kill anything because the devs feel it would support gun violence and aspects of colonialism: "Subnautica is one vote towards a world with less guns. A reminder that there is another way forward." "We want people to feel like they're learning to adapt to the world, rather than being a conqueror or dominator." "We aren't a killing game. Go play Sons of the Forest or something if you want to kill." The anti-violence stance got stronger from Subnautica 1 -> 2, which now has a complete "no kill" policy even when the fish can still kill *you*.

@YellowAmarillo8 You guys are still badly pretending all he did was just talk and had nice debates? Genuinely get a real job instead of being paid to defend a guy who opposed basic rights.

🇺🇸 Chicago police had Derek Jordan, 42, boxed in an alley in Humboldt Park. He was wanted for a shooting on the expressway. He rammed a bus, a squad car, and hit a pedestrian trying to escape. Officer Walzer yells "Get out of the f***ing car or I'll kill you"... then fires 6 shots through a tinted window. Walzer is stripped of his badge. George Floyd's attorneys now represent the family. COPA is investigating. The bodycam shows a man trying to ram his way through a police perimeter. It also shows an officer who announced he was going to kill someone before he did. Watch it yourself. What do you see?

If the sequel trilogy had flipped the script, it could have been something really special. The New Republic as a chaotic mess of organised crime and corruption, beset by warlordism and alien mafias; the New Order as a nostalgic reactionary movement seeking to reimpose order on the Galaxy, drawing on the disaffection generated by New Republic's structural weakness. This framework would have enabled engagement with the tensions between idealism and pragmatism, the pitfalls of revolutionary change in the wake of a catastrophic civil war. It would have been especially powerful if the original expanded universe storyline of extragalactic invasion had been followed. Palpatine saw what was coming, hence the militarization of the Galaxy, the death stars, etc. The New Republic would face the challenge of uniting the Galaxy against this threat, and would have had to reconcile itself with the New Order to do so. Doing this while hanging on to the original ideals would have presented a profound moral dilemma. Instead we got a Mary Sue lightsabering her way through an incoherent pastiche.
Clint Warren-Davey@Clint_Davey1

Yes exactly. What Star Wars should have done in the sequels is make the Imperial remnant faction the underdogs. Make them like rebels. Have the heroes working for a new republic that is triumphant but still going through a kind of counter-insurgency phase.

@neontaster I only watched the show, so maybe she get's better, but I didn't like her at all. Too much of a dick. That doesn't mean it's a bad character, the show would be less interesting if everyone was likable, but I enjoyed it a lot more when she wasn't on screen.

Catastrophic insurance is actually what “insurance” is supposed to mean. Routine costs (doc visits, occasional urgent care, prescriptions, the sort of stuff that people predictably use) were paid in cash - and were cheaper because of it. INSURANCE was supposed to be for unpredictable costs, like getting cancer or hit by a bus. And catastrophic insurance was fantastic for that purpose without breaking the bank. “Insurance” for predictable, routine costs that most people incur is just called “paying overhead on top of expenses,” which is why most people carry accident insurance but not maintenance insurance on their cars. It wasn’t consumers who were stupid.

@perseverare1776 Technically what she did is illegal, but she's right. If you can't afford to tip your delivery driver, get off your lazy ass and go get the food yourself.

What would you do in the situation? You order a burrito and have it delivered by DoorDash. The driver shows up, leaves the food and walks away. Then, when she sees you didn’t leave a tip she goes back and grabs the food off of your front step. 😲 She tells you that because you didn’t tip you don’t deserve the food. Was she right or did she overreact? Is tipping necessary ?
AmyLouWho@perseverare1776

What would you do if you were this homeowner? Delivery driver shows up to your house with an order of pizza and breadsticks. You proceed to pay him and he gets angry with you over a $5 tip! He even swears at you! I think $5 is a pretty good tip for a small order. Would you call his manager or let it slide?

It was the celebration of his murder from leftists everywhere, not the murder itself. People that you knew were openly just saying "I am glad that fucker died". Like, sheepish women that you knew irl would say this shit. Bloodthirsty Changed my perspective on a lot of things

@feyruhhh_ @aaronkellerOW I love Mercy and have more time on her than any other hero, but I think this is probably a good thing. It slows down how quickly they die, giving them more time to kill the W/M or get out, but doesn't stop the W/M from being able to win the fight just because Mercy's there.

mercy can no longer heal through moira or winston primary fire. regardless of how much you might dislike the character personally, there isn’t a world where it is ever acceptable for a character to be this neglected balance-wise, in my opinion at least. @aaronkellerOW
