007 First Light isn't a true James Bond game. It's 'Rise of the Shadow of the Stranding of the Uncharted Duty of Us'. You don't get to 'play' until the 2:55 mark. Then it's just a linear 'move L' experience. Climbing sections are even marked with white paint. A game with such a lack of identity can't succeed commercially.

Could there ever be a more obvious industry plant game?
The game that removes "sexism and misogyny" that reflect "modern values" and an easy combat against enemies, with the situational awareness of a blind midwit.
The early reviews are even saying that the enemies are "profoundly inattentive" or "dumb as a bag of hammers", missing shots constantly like stormtroopers. You can body slam an enemy into the wall, and enemies near them won't even react or intervene. They promise a "hard mode," but even they are hinting that it is still too easy.
The game is designed to give a power fantasy, simple, controlled, linear experience, that doesn't take chances, so that the journalists won't have to run into another Cuphead situation.... complete with a full palette of modern audience fan service with Kaby Lame, toned down bombshells, and night club scenes that look like they went through a feminist safety audit.
It is the most focus tested game from IO Interactive that is inoffensively polished for the Western AAA media class.

RPG developer Josh Sawyer says Obsidian Entertainment is not against romance systems like the ones in Baldur’s Gate 3. He explained that these features take a huge amount of time, money, and work to create properly. “It’s not like an opposition to their existence,” Sawyer said. “It’s just that I don’t know if we’re going to be able to do it.” Sawyer said romance systems need a lot of extra writing, voice acting, cutscenes, and character reactions. Because of this, Obsidian would rather focus on other parts of a game instead of adding romances that feel incomplete or low quality. He also said players now expect romance content to be as detailed as Baldur’s Gate 3, which raised the standard for RPG games. Sawyer added that Obsidian still cares about emotional stories and character relationships.
