He did not have his Senate lapel ID on his lapel, as anyone can clearly see. Just yelling out that you are a senator without having your Senate lapel ID in public view is not identification to an FBI agent who is trying to prevent an aggressive man from harming Noem. But even if he had his pin on, he can not act aggressively toward Noem, nor can he inappropriately interrupt her press conference. Senator Padilla knows his failure to wear his Senate lapel pin, and his aggressive behavior toward Noem would cause the FBI to react to protect her in the manner they did. This was a purposeful act to create a "media" event. Only ignorant people would not recognize his behavior as a purposefully staged propaganda event.
