@mercoglianos So, let me get this straight - he doesn't have a water maker on board, yet he went into a war zone, willingly, and didn't bring adequate stores of water for 3+ weeks? In a war zone. With no water maker. And we're supposed to feel sorry for this guy?

🚨Crews at risk in the Gulf🚨 Just heard from a crewmember on one of the 3,200 ships stuck in the Persian Gulf. A ship called the local port authority requested permission to dock as they had run out of water. They were denied permission! Multiple ships are in the same condition, with stores, food and fuel running low. Ports are overwhelmed and security is such that they are refusing permission for ships to dock. Crews cannot get off and reliefs cannot fly in. What is being done to address this matter @POTUS @SecWar @SecDuffy @DOTMARAD @IMOSecGen @IMOHQ.

The United Kingdom has demanded that 4chan pay a £520,000 fine for failure to comply with UK age verification laws. However, since 4chan is based in the USA, the UK has no jurisdiction to fine Americans in America. “As has been explained to your agency, ad nauseam, the United Kingdom lost the American Revolutionary War. We are not in the mood to discuss the matter further, and have not been in the mood for 250 years.” The letter to the UK’s Ofcom ended by suggesting that “maybe, you could just stop sending Americans stupid letters and acknowledge the sovereignty of the United States.” 4chan’s attorney, @prestonjbyrne also included a picture of a giant hamster dressed as Godzilla.

Rep. Tim Burchett just filled up his dually and called it. “The price of gas is a scam.” America buys zero oil from Iran. The gas in your tank right now was bought weeks ago at the old price. The oil is already in the pipeline. They raised your price anyway. “Prices go up like a rocket and come down with a parachute.”

@WallStreetApes You apparently don't understand the donut restaurant business. They HAVE to keep some ready otherwise customer wait times would be too high. So, sometimes they ready ones sit too long, don't get used, must throw out. And their prices went up cause COSTS went up. Disingenuous.

American show what his local Krispy Kreme donuts does to their unsold donuts at the end of the night Since being bought by a private equity firm Krispy Kreme has gradually raised the price of a dozen donuts to as much as $22 in some cities Instead of selling at lower prices. They’d rather throw them all away

The empty car continuing to roll after the driver jumps is a perfect example of "inertial motion" in action. Newton's first law keeps the vehicle moving at constant velocity until friction or a crash stops it, but in actual police chases (like a famous 2019 LA pursuit where a suspect bailed similar to this), unmanned cars have caused over $10 million in damage annually by slamming into barriers or other vehicles.

@SGTWipper1Each Everything has a combat tradeoff. Make it 3 inches taller, now to load it you must lift the ammo 3 more inches, there are 3 more inches of profile for enemy RPGs to hit, etc. Make it wider, yeah you get stability, but you also get a bigger target that can't fit all roads, etc.

@RMistereggen When was the last time you got politically involved and truly worked to get the immigration stopped? The problem won't get solved until common people stand up about it. Have you ever done that before?

I’m so tired of the Norwegian healthcare system. To everyone who claims we have the best healthcare in the world, you need a reality check! I almost gave birth at home because the ambulance refused to come get me - a 37-year-old first-time mother with a premature baby. They prioritized treating people with the flu instead. Do you know what it’s like to endure expulsive contractions while going down two flights of stairs and sitting in a car? My baby was born within the hour. Now, my baby is struggling to eat, is dehydrated, and needs urgent care. What does the emergency medical clinic do? Nothing. They do nothing, and when asked, they told us she’s not a priority while letting one hijab in after the other, which is exactly what happened the last time I was there. My blood is boiling at this point. On my way to a private clinic now, which will cost between 500-1000 dollars. We can’t even get insurance for this type of emergency care. Welcome to Norway. To this day, I still haven’t received an answer to the complaint made in the ambulance case. It’s about time they get to feel the heat. Please share.

Want to know how evil the FBI is? In 2000, Jeffrey Epstein’s house manager Alfredo Rodriguez, made a list of Epstein’s victims. He went to a lawyer with the list. He told him about the rapes and trafficking. The lawyer contacted the FBI. The FBI set up a sting operation. No pedophile was arrested. No victims were interviewed. Guess what happened? Rodriguez was the one who ended up in jail. He went to jail for trying to sell stolen property.

@ConnorMOKeeffe Put it into words w/o using financial jargon. When people romanticize about mid 1900s America, they aren't remembering the hard, gritty factory work - they're remembering the small government which didn't try to dictate their lives.

When people romanticize mid-century American manufacturing, they’re usually not really celebrating factory work. They’re romanticizing the economy before permanent price inflation — when even “plain” jobs could support a stable middle-class life in a way those same jobs no longer can. We won’t restore that economy with taxes or price controls that artificially herd people back into factories. It will only return when we abandon this deliberately inflationary monetary policy.

@jfonseca81 @CorySwan Then the chart double-counts same crash twice. Can't do that. Can't have overlapping "crashes", it's just one, from peak to trough.

@tommycarver @CorySwan Oh, I see it there! So then, the chart double-counts the same crash! Well...come on now, that's accounting sleight of hand. If you consider the drop from Nov '21 to Jan '22 to be a "crash", then you can't also consider the drop from Nov '21 - Nov '22 to be crash also...

@WallStreetApes Price was never the issue for me, at Chipotle. Former loyal customer here, used to go just about daily. However, in the past ~5 years the quality has declined, the stores are filthy, they're often missing key ingredients, and won't provide change if u pay cash. Peace out!

CEO of Chipotle caught on a recording indicating they’re going to keep raising prices because they can “We learned that 60% of our core users are over $100,000 a year in income, in average household income. That gives us confidence that we can lean into that group in a more meaningful way — to really drive meaningful transaction performance in the year” - Chipotle Earnings call

@WallStreetApes You are a fast food chain not Louis Vuitton. Pricing based on customer income is disgraceful. Also a lot of the customers come for combined convenience + value + simple food. It’s not difficult to replace the food you provide

Michael Saylor explains Strategy‘s current capital raising framework: + don‘t sell STRC below $100 (so no ATM at $99.99 or below) + sell STRF when the cost of capital is ~8% (but not 11%) + important: they have the option to do nothing, and simply wait + they simply react to the market, minute by minute + they can sell $1M/day, $10M/day, $100M/day, $1B/day, it‘s perfectly flexible and scalable It‘s a must watch if you want to understand Strategy‘s business model.

Bitcoin is a volatile asset. It went from $0.01 to $126,000 in about 15 years. There were many 50-85% drawdowns along the way. Bitcoin has averaged a Global Financial Crisis every 18 months for the last decade. Yet bitcoiners continue to hold through all the noise. The blockchain produces block-after-block of transactions. And the critics take their “victory laps” during the drawdowns, only to get their faces ripped off a few months later in a bull market by the best performing asset since 2010. It is a story as old as time. Let the critics celebrate today. They will predict the death of bitcoin for the thousandth time. They will point and laugh at those who hold the asset. But secretly they know the truth. Their dollars will continue to devalue and bitcoin will appreciate over the long run. Scarcity never goes out of style.

🚨 POLICE JUST LAUNCHED REAL-TIME SKY SURVEILLANCE - WITH ONE CLICK, A LIVE DRONE WATCHES ANY NEIGHBORHOOD IN 150 SECONDS This isn’t a pilot program. This isn’t a proposal. This is live and operational. In this clip, Dearborn Police Department demonstrates a system where drones are pre-positioned across the city, ready to launch on demand to any location in under 2.5 minutes. Traffic stop? Click. Call for service? Click. A drone lifts off automatically and streams live aerial video directly to command centers and officers’ devices - before a patrol car even arrives. They call it “first responder support.” They call it “accountability.” They say residents can check a transparency dashboard after the drone is already overhead. But watch closely. This isn’t response anymore. This is push-button sky surveillance. If a drone can be watching your neighborhood this fast… who decides when it goes up - and when it becomes permanent?
