Folks, let me explain something to you. Our problem in the House and Senate is not that ALL of our representatives are useless, but because our majorities are so narrow, the useless ones are empowered. If we had a 10 seat advantage in the Senate, no one would give a damn what Murkowski or Collins thinks. But because the majority is so small, they have great power. Now is not the time to pull back. Now is the time to go even harder - work more, donate more - because our goal is to get bigger majorities so these losers no longer call the shots!

I’m not hating on the idea of DeSantis on the SCOTUS but if he continues to let loose and own these Dems I’m gonna be all in for a presidential run. I don’t care about Iowa. I don’t care about his damn boots. Trump is going to be gone and records just might matter again. If that’s the case DeSantis is a legit candidate. Of course some lessons from the first campaign will need to be applied. The good news is the candidate is smart and will actually do it. To give you an idea of what they’d have to do in order to even get close to 21 seats (there’s no way they can draw 22), they’d have to: >Eliminate every remaining GOP seat in California >Eliminate the remaining GOP seat in Oregon >Abolish the redistricting commission and eliminate every GOP seat in Colorado >Force the courts to draw a 4-4 map in Wisconsin >Eliminate every remaining GOP seat in Illinois >Eliminate the remaining seat in Maryland and risk angering the Hogan-appointed Supreme Court >Abolish the redistricting commission and eliminate all but one GOP seat in New Jersey >Eliminate 4 GOP seats in New York There is no way this even comes halfway to fruition without further retaliation from Republicans. Every single DEI seat in the South is getting abolished, and if Dems try to go so far as to draw giant spaghetti lines out of Chicago and LA, you can expect similarly extreme gerrymanders from Republicans. You can draw a 35-3 map in Texas, a 24-2 map in Florida, a 13-2 map in Ohio, and an 11-3 map in Georgia if we’re seeing Dems resort to such extreme measures. There is no universe where Democrats do this and magically cancel out the Callais fallout. There will be a further response from Red states because they simply have more Democrats to pick off than the other way around.

In all seriousness, none of the Southern States outside of maybe Florida would've redistricted before the 2026 elections were it not for Virginia rushing through their gerrymandered map. This is 100% on Abigail Spanberger, Louise Lucas, and Don Scott. GOP will likely erase most if not all of the gains Dems made for 2026 with their gerrymander. They were likely to be 7-4 anyway, and they went for 10-1. That's a 3 seat gain that could be erased by Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee. Then, Florida's 4 seats is a pure gain. The South outside of Florida would've all waited until 2028 if Virginia didn't overreach.
