@nickmmark The patient’s clinical status needs to be taken into account as well but the PGY3 will soon be in a supervisory role for a lot more of these lines and should be comfortable before teaching others!

Hypothetical: a patient is admitted needing vascular access. There are 3 residents: - PGY1 primary care - PGY3 who will be a hospitalist - PGY3 who is PCCM fellowship bound All 3 “need” the procedure to get signed off. All 3 want to do the CVC. Who gets to do the line? Why?
