Kpler data shows the Malawi flagged tanker Rich Starry departed Sharjah in the UAE fully loaded, turned back yesterday, and resumed its voyage today. It is now in the Gulf of Oman en route to China. The vessel has successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz. Because it originated from a UAE port, it was not subject to Washington’s blockade.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Hillary Clinton: "It's shocking that Trump said nobody told him Iran might close the Strait of Hormuz. Every war game I was ever involved in, that was the first thing we assumed Iran would do." Either Trump is playing dumb to buy his military time to force the strait open, something they had already war-gamed, or the most predictable move in Middle East history genuinely caught the White House off guard. Neither option is particularly reassuring.

@PeterSchiff Chinas weak, they won’t do anything. And China can buy oil, just not from Iran. Did you make this same statement when Iran put mines in the strait and extorted all other nations?

Trump using the U.S. Navy to blockade the Strait of Hormuz could easily be considered an act of war by other nations impacted by the action. What right does the U.S. have to use military force to prevent China from buying oil? However, China’s right to retaliate would seem clear.

💢 Strait of Hormuz Commission — “Open for All or Closed to All” Richard Haass, former head of the Council on Foreign Relations, says Washington is not negotiating from strength and and that Iran has emerged from the war with greater leverage. 🔸On Hormuz, he suggests Washington should tell Iran that the Strait of Hormuz can be “open to all or closed to all.” ➤ Proposes an international governing commission, including Iran and Gulf states, to oversee transit though Hormuz ➤ Open to tolls and shared revenue as part of the framework 🔸Crucially, Haass says if Iran refuses, the U.S. should consider blockading Hormuz at the Gulf of Oman to stop Iranian oil exports. 🔸His view: ➤ Washington should not accept Iran’s sole control over Hormuz ➤ But also cannot realistically exclude Iran from the strait ➤ Haass says the war has made a return to the pre-war status quo impossible and U.S. has lost the war in a strategic and political sense. Separately. he calls on Trump to pressure Israel to stop what he describes as a “discretionary war” in Lebanon. “Knock it off,” he suggests Trump tell Netanyahu.

💢 Trump’s First Post After Failed Islamabad Talks: A Naval Blockade of Iran President Trump’s first Truth Social post after JD Vance left Pakistan without a deal was a link to a Just The News analysis laying out the U.S. naval blockade of Iran as his next option if Tehran refuses to accept Washington’s “final and best offer.” The article argues Trump could flip Iran’s Hormuz tollbooth strategy against it — stationing U.S. warships at the strait’s 21-mile chokepoint to physically control which vessels pass, cutting off Iranian oil exports and squeezing China and India, Tehran’s two largest customers, into pushing for a deal. “It would be very easy for the U.S. Navy to exert complete control over what does and does not go in and out of that Strait,” Lexington Institute defense analyst Rebecca Grant told the outlet. The piece notes the USS Gerald Ford — the carrier that led Trump’s naval blockade of Venezuela before the U.S.-backed ouster of Nicolás Maduro — is now in the Persian Gulf alongside the USS Abraham Lincoln.

@sire_lamar @Keir_Starmer Because the reality of the world is when you have a strong military, you can do what you want. It’s time Europe understands that again. I’m not saying it’s right but it’s always been the way of the world. And the USA has been paying for europes delusion for the last 70 years

I am honestly struggling to understand this logic. If the rest of the world is willing to pay a toll to Iran to keep oil flowing and stabilise markets while their war with US and Israel is on partially, then why does the U.S. feel the need to block all shipping, especially when it is not dependent on that oil? Does Trump want to become the champion of the world by creating a problem that wasn’t existing before now , in other to make it exist then fight it just to give the world the impression of being a world leader ? He just has lost it

The ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz is deeply damaging. Getting global shipping moving is vital to ease cost of living pressures. The UK has convened more than 40 nations who share our aim to restore freedom of navigation. This week the UK and France will co-host a summit to advance work on a coordinated, independent, multinational plan to safeguard international shipping when the conflict ends.

NEW: FedEx driver who is accused of abducting and strangling a seven-year-old girl, puts his face in his hand as a photo is displayed of him driving her to her death. 7-year-old Athena Strand was seen standing behind Tanner Horner in his FedEx truck. Athena was allegedly snatched by Horner when he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. Horner initially claimed that he accidentally hit the girl with the truck before "panicking" and pulling her into the vehicle. He said he then strangled her in the vehicle and dumped the body 7 miles from the home. The photo, however, shows that Athena was alert in the truck and did not appear to have been struck by the truck. Wise County District Attorney James Stainton says the jury will see footage on the day of the killing, depicting the moment Athena was strangled to death. "Somebody covered up the camera because they don't want you to see. Guess what? Audio is still running, and you're going to hear it. You're going to hear what a 250-pound man can do to a 67-pound child," he said. "And when I say it's horrible, I mean it. I've been doing this for 25 years, and I promise you, buckle up." Horner qualifies for the death penalty.

Calling this a "war crime" is pure fearmongering. Under ICRC Rule 10, strikes on infrastructure used for military purposes are permitted. Civilians are NOT the target. Grifters just bank on their audience being too stupid to notice.
