I have sent a complaint to consumer protection agency in Estonia notifying of illegal, immoral behaviour of @teslaeurope and @tesla. It's a theft, not other word for it. @elonmusk as a protector of truth, I wonder what is his opinion on remotely disabling paid for functionality. I hope to support the work of MEP René Repasi (@repasi) on the Right to Repair Directive and the Right to Repair Europe coalition (@R2REurope), as well as broader consumer protection efforts by BEUC (@BEUC)." Tesla's remote revocation of paid features exemplifies the exact problems highlighted for years by right-to-repair advocates like Louis Rossmann (@rossmannsupply), who has publicly called out manufacturer overreach in vehicles and electronics. Hmm. I paid 8000€ for traffic light awarness in EU. It was working fine. Then @tesla remotely disabled it. What is the LEGAL basis for that @teslaeurope ? Is @EUCouncil fine with manufacturers charging money and then disabling things remotely with no refunds?

Not if you never use car on public roads! There is nothing intrinsically illegal about putting loud spoiler to a Porsche. It's illegal to use on public roads yes, but you can legally put it in and use on tracks. Same for FSD Fuck TOS, they are not legally binding. Tesla is not a legislator I need to remind you.

Hi @tesla @teslaeurope, when can I have my 8000EUR option back? @elonmusk, do you think your companies should be bricking cars of consumers without any refunds? I would like a refund or this option brought back. Interestingly @EUCouncilPress doesn't care manufacturers are charging customers money for things, and remotely disabling them later on?

Charging customers 8000EUR for a thing, it works fine, then months later remotely disabling that thing is "nothing wrong"? How is that not wrong, do tell. If AUDI disables heated seats because they don't like MCU chip you put in, is this ok? No where I did mention FSD, please stop mentioning FSD

Having a loud exhaust is not legal on public roads, but it is legal to install and use on non public roads. Same for FSD. No amount of you spinning it will make it illegal by default. Tesla did not need regulators to operate FSD in factory

lol no it is not legal and there is no amount of spinning it that will make it legal. FSD should not have come into your hands in any way shape or form. The only people who can have legal access to it are those that got approval from regulators (tesla employees, tesla itself etc.). You gambled, you lost, suck it up and wait for legalization.

Please explain where did I do "fraud"? I purchased a car with my own money, I paid for extra option. It was working just fine. I installed third party device on the car. Manufacturer did not like this, even though it was all legal. They took away remotely paid for functionality. I truly want to know where you think the "fraud" is here, I try to understand other side of the conversation

I hacked the system to enable the FSD (which is LEGAL unless you use it on public roads). No idea why you are so bent on it being illegal. There is nothing illegal about it if not used on public roads

They can not SELL it. They did SELL it to you. Of course they would be in shitload of hurt if anything happened while you were using it. It's ILLEGAL to sell car with that system being available in it no matter who or what you plugged in into who or what. You are now simply playing stupid for no reason whatsoever, instead of owning your decision. Be a man.

@scheka @Tesla @teslaeurope @EUCouncil I alway tell the truth. The truth is: I installed a 3rd party device, Tesla did not like it, Tesla could not block that device from working except from bricking legal-to-use working for years functionality that they charged me 8000EUR (6200+VAT) for.

Tesla can and do use it in their factories without permission, they do not need permission, it's their private roads. FSD is not illegal because it's an FSD. BUT using FSD on public roads would be illegal yes.

They did have to ask for a permission to even Test it in Germany and to test it in other EU countries and they had to ask in every and each country separately. Don't act like you don't know it. It's illegal to use it without permission. Did you ask for permission from your country?

Well yes and no. One of the devices I removed, but I kept @enhauto commander. Literally same devices, just different software. I filed service request and warranty service was denied, they say that this is "unwarrantable". No idea what's the logic as I have a thing that was working fine for moooonths, and not working anymore. (and it was an extra payment of 8000EUR).

It cost me 8000EUR (not FSD, just this single feature). It was taken away. It used to work. It does not. No refund.
