Time for a new episode of It's A Blast Podcast! I sat down with Representative Rick Crawford to discusses his military background, particularly his experience as an EOD technician, and how it has shaped his career in Congress. We talked about the importance of supporting veterans, addressing issues like traumatic brain injury and veteran suicide. Representative Crawford highlights the establishment and growth of the EOD caucus and also shares insights on the camaraderie within the EOD community and the need for continued advocacy for EOD personnel in the military. Last week, the EOD Caucus hosted its fourth and final EOD 101 event for the 2024 series, featuring United States Marine Corps. House and Senate defense staffers were briefed on @USMC EOD's history, force structure, explosive ordnance exploitation, and the LEON Program.

Congressionally designated, the first Saturday in May is National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Day. Every year on this day the multiservice EOD Memorial Ceremony is held at Eglin Air Force Base, where the EOD community comes together to remember our fallen EOD warriors. #EOD
