Cleave adjusts to the targets output to cut them down in one fell swoop. But Gojo's RCT is so good he can heal just as fast

It was explained in his fight with Ryu. That for him to be able to put enough power in cleave to completely cut Ryu, he has to touch him with his hands.

Sukunas cleave has been explained when he touches a person with his hands physically he can make the cuts more powerful. Maybe I didn’t state it well in my op. But what I mean is, he couldn’t touch Gojo like he did to Ryu. If he touches him like that, the cleave will cut him up completely just like it did to Ryu.
