Kathy is one of EPCOR USA’s operators who has earned Arizona’s prestigious 4x4 certification, demonstrating mastery across all four disciplines of water and wastewater management. This International Women's Day, we celebrate women on Team EPCOR who #GiveToGain with their spirit of generosity and collaboration. Heather Southwood (Payroll Analyst, Alberta) and Becky Burleigh (Director, Corporate Services, Arizona) are recognized for their efforts as volunteers, mentors and advocates. They shared some advice for women who are early in their careers: "Have an open mind when exploring opportunities (...). Saying yes to different opportunities changed everything for me," says Becky. "Everything you do is an opportunity to succeed or an opportunity to learn – as long as you learn from a mistake or a misstep, you’ll never fail," shares Heather. This weekend, our Texas team attended STEM Girl Day at @UTAustin to bring hands-on science and engineering activities to over 9,000 grade-school students. Our team spent the day helping kids explore where water comes from and how it moves through our communities, and they were full of smart questions and big ideas. Events like this remind us how important early exposure is in shaping tomorrow’s problem‑solvers. A huge thank‑you to @txawwa for inviting us and to everyone who volunteered their time to make this event a success.
