Good news! The @EUCouncil has just decided to amend EU electoral law to support new rules proposed by the @Europarl_EN to allow proxy voting in our plenary sessions for MEPs during pregnancy and after childbirth. This is an important step forward for women MEPs and sends such a powerful signal to any woman thinking of running for office in Europe. We’re not there yet, but we are turning this commitment into reality.
