I recently did a film breakdown on Drew Allar’s first ever start vs WVU in 2023. It was far and away the best game of his career, not only statistically but the tape shows a fearless gunslinger. Someone who he looked nothing like by the end of his CFB career. I think there’s so much talent in Allar, but he was undeniably ruined. I've beat up on the Hokies enough. PSU has more money. (largest Adidas NIL deal in nation) PSU has better recruiting. PSU has running water, heat & A/C. PSU has a longer runway. PSU has better potato chips & elite ice cream. PSU has the better stadium entrance. PSU puts more guys in the NFL. PSU Football overall is more successful. VT will do well under Franklin. He's a great rebuilder. But until they actually start winning consistently, they are like Pitt... irrelevant. And I gotta own that. So don't come at me, Roanoke Crybabies. I'll just mute you. Regarding the recent visit of QB target Peter Bourque to VA Tech & possibly considering the Hokies: If you make an Apples/Apples list of PSU vs VT at this point, both new HCs on an upward trajectory, there isn't a single facet in which VT tops PSU. Not one. It's an inferior program & situation in every way. Fact. The only play VT has are promises & money. And should Bourque decide to go play for a guy that has never figured out the QB position, PSU already has Plan "B".
